I agree with TX here, for many reasons...Westwood ripped off Lucas and ILM's AT-AT Walker and gets praised for it when the thing can barely fend for itself ingame. Kirovs are more sensible....
Kirovs were, indeed, awesomeness in flight... especially the Robot Storm Kirovs (WOO, MOBILE CANON PLATFORM).
Oh, and Dark Lord Sith, I will seek you once SDK comes out, then. I've been in a mood to play my older games like TS, RA2, YR, and Robot Storm, but I am being too lazy to reinstall all of it (they crash whenever I build anything - at least in RA2/YR/Robot Storm).
