What about these zones? Does this have to do with how bad the area is contaminated with Tiberium?

I'm not much of a campaign guy but does anyone have screencaps of each continent? I've already seen S. America and Australia.. :p

Red zones are almost completely infested with tiberium and not fit for human life. Yellow zones contain most of the world's population and are dangerously infested with tiberium, but humans are ablt eo survive. Blue zones are the last clean-looking ciites and those are what the GDI are trying to defend. So zones are completely based on tiberium infestation.

Judging by the ingame title video, I could see parts of North America and Africa have green areas, so I am assuming those continents are yellow/blue zones.

I would love to know how the world has changed since TS with pretty maps and graphs..

As far as i know the bigest Blue zone in the game is on the east cost of Australia. This shows up on an EVA video

Does anyone know of the other blue and yellow areas around the globe? I already presume that the equator has the largest Red Zones due to the weather there.

It's more based on where the tibirum meteors landed

And how fast Tiberium has spread in that area. Blue Zones are usually areas reclaimed by GDI, Yellow Zones are where it hasn't completely taken hold yet, and Red Zones are just, well, death in a shining green, ion storm-filled expanse.

Judging by the Tiber River skirmish map, the place you'd expect to be the worst Red Zone on the planet isn't all that bad :p

Debatable whether skirmish maps can be considered canon though.

Most skirmish maps look like red zones, especially the 6 and 8 player maps with those huge chunks of tiberium in the canyons.

Which is actually what all of the maps except some in the polar regions should have been like... who wants to fight in a clean and nice blue zone? Give me devastated, tiberium-infested environments! :p

I see it now what I could identify myself.

Red: North/Northwest South America and Austrailia, Southeast Asia, most of Middle East, sections of Indonesia/Malaysia, upper central and portion of southwest North America(?)

Blue: Eastern South America, north/northwestern Europe, UK, Japan, southeast Australia, northeast and northwest North America, Yemen, Oman, Madagascar, small area of west Africa.

:p

It would friggan help it they made a flat map so I wouldn't have to do guessing through that stupid transparent globe in the video!

My country (Thailand) is Red Zone (as I see in the EVA).
BTW, Italy is Red Zone too (because it's where the start of everything in this game took place).

I found this over on the DEN forums, which was made by Derek:

I know there are a few errors, so bear with him.

Thought it would make it easier to see than that GDI intro video..

Well, Italy and the Balkans have merged. The Balkans is a Yellow Zone, btw, since if it was a Red Zone I doubt Kane would be setting up his HQ there.

Edit: Also, what do the white patches mean?

Edit: Also, what do the white patches mean?

Here is his explanation: Ok, here is my rendition. It took a lot longer than I expected, especially hard was Europe, the video gives no good views of it so its hard to tell about a lot of things, for example I have all of Scandanavia painted blue, but the north eastern part of Scandanavia never actually appears in the video. Still, I think I got most everything pretty accurately. You can notice some patterns, such as large red zones seem to center around major rivers (with the Mediterranean red zone being the main exception). Also note that some area of the map are not shown as part of any zone in the video, this is clearly intentional because these areas are entirely cold places such as mountains and areas in the arctic. I suppose we could call these "white zones", where there is no tiberium but the land is still not suitable for large human populations.

Note the bolded section.
