Heres some suggestions.

I know someone suggested the Arkangel, but I thought about having the Dominion instead. That way the Arkangel can be freed up for the third faction.

As for hero unit possibilities:

I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and come up with an official unit list. Trust me when I say every suit that you want will be in there one way or another.

I found that the alpha was pretty balanced. I played for both sides on hardest difficulty with different amount of computer players and it worked out fine. The game would be hard, but i never had the sense the one side was stronger than the other, but the pirates were a the cheap side, using shields.

I wouldnt say it was not balanced at all. But zaft seemed a bit stronger, especially in the beginning. The laurasia class outweighs the eaf ships too much in the first tech level.

It cant just be balanced the easy and cheap way like in the normal eaw...where the rebs and imps pretty much have an equivalent unit on either side space-wise.

Ya, true the laruasia is over powered at lvl 1, but if you hyperspace your ships behind, then its screwed.

Ideed, If only multiple turrets was coded into EAW this wouldn't be a problem. So far the only ship that could conceivble have a turret is Kusanagi as It two turrets align on the same axis. (it is something I am looking into)

I think many of the ships should have more guns, laser turrets in EAW terms. this way they can be at least a bit better at surviving a small-squad bases attack.

Actually, i prefer the way the turrets orient now. It offers more tactical options. But they should have more anti-ms capability, like laser cannons turned ciws. Zaft doesnt have a destroyer or frigate sized ship like the drake, so they need that extra edge.

Yep, the Lauresca class has those guns in the back and the side too, why not make them into turrets as well?

Actually IF i can manage to get a turret working (from what I understand its no cake walk in codeing) that top gun on the Laurasia class would be pritty neat.

if it's a ZAFT mobile suit than it will be an instant draw since two forces of complete and utter awesomeness cannot fight each other, it's like an impenetrable shield vs. an unstoppable sword paradox.

but if it was Earth Alliance mobile suit vs. ISD, dear god, the ISD MIGHT get it's paint a tad bit scratched, but don't worry, that's just worse case scenario.

OHH, you just called me out on that one, Destroy would eat ISD for lunch. That and Forbidden couldn't be hit by Turbo Lasers, come to think of it Phase shift, Geshmidig Panzer, Laminate Armour, Mirage Colide, MS with interchangeable equipment, basically any good MS technology came from EAF. :p
