As Creator said...Hazael kills an Overlord with 3-4 shots. Well, 2 China Outposts with 1 Overlord can kill a Hazael. Summary: you spent 5000 credits on a Hazael, while the enemy spent 1400+2200=3600 on the Overlord and detectors. Okay, you still have $1400 for anything else, which will guarantee the death of the Hazael. I tested it in the Alpha version, where Hazael's ROF is nearly 0,2 shots per second...

I have several suggestions after playing the beta. I'm not doing any bug-reporting since the developers stated that they are aware of most of the current bugs.

 

1.- AF General: currently lacks strong anti-infantry cepabilities, apart from a combat chinook filled with rangers. The commanches are inadequite to deal with infantry fast enough, and none of the planes seem to handle infantry with apparant ease. Either give AF general the pathfinder back, or give him a rank 3 upgrade that switches the commanche's standard machine gun with a vulcan cannon/ minigun or anything of that calibre.

 

2. AF general: I still feel that AF general needs some sort of armored air unit, similar to the rank 5 air unit that the cyber general gets. The new stryker-line APC's are a welcome addition to USAF's arsenal, but he still cannot put pressure on an assault. The combat chinooks with infantry are too costly and fragile, the commanches die like flies to even rank 1 AA units, and aircraft are incapable of forcing an advance.

 

3.- SW general: Bring back a weakened form of the security systems. A machine gun or alaser that laser general used to have that can only target infantry. I feel that SW general has been severely nerfed in this new version.

 

4.- SW general: Weaken Saturn's long range laser, but buff it by allowing it to construct defenses 3 times as fast as a regular dozer and from a certain range (so it doesn't have to stand next to a building in order to start the process)

 

5. SW general: Implement a static building that can emit a defensive shield. It emits the shield longer and over a larger area than the mobile defense field generator, at the cost of mobility.

 

I have more suggestions in the near future.

Add Military Warship, like Battleship or like Transformers 3 (With lasers...) (Contolable for sure !) ! Only available when players play in a water map !! Please add them and I surely make a donation :D

Add Military Warship, like Battleship or like Transformers 3 (With lasers...) (Contolable for sure !) ! Only available when players play in a water map !! Please add them and I surely make a donation :D

Hi

I have a request regarding the faction heroes (Col Burton, Black Lotus, Jarmen Kell)

I think they should remain stealthed while using their abilities such as Burton's ability to plant c4. Be cause the fact that they reveal themselves while using abilities makes them strategically useless! and it doesn't make much sense either! I mean think about it, why should a trained special force commando who has successfully inflitrated the enemy's base reveal himself just to stick a piece of explosive to a building?

some might think it will make them overpowered but the thing about espionage is that the hard part is supposed to be inflitrating the enemy's base,and the enemy still can discover them just by paying a little attention and observing that his buildings are being blowen up out of the blue! He can use a stealth detecting unit or something.

I personally love using espionage and covert missions rather sending a huge force and crushing the enemy.It makes the game much more interesting and challanging. And it gives the players a reason to use stealth detecting units and to set up a priemeter around their base!

P.S they will still be detectable when they fire their weapons!

 

Also they explosive attacks should be able to destroy a building with one shot! it's fraustrating to keep planting explosives to the same power plant 3 times just to get rid of it.

I had done it myself in my copy of generals and it's pretty easy!

 

Also one more thing, Black Lotus's cash hack is very little! I mean it's not worth the trouble of slipping in enemy's defences and putting black lotus is danger just to hack 1000$ (which BTW takes a long time). If it was something like 50,000$ or 10,000$ and it took longer it would be much more plauseable! I tried to do it myself but couldn't no matter what values I changed!

 

Infantry Gen Black Lotus should have some kind of advantage over other Generals' Black Lotus too!

Nuke General Black Lotus should have a Nuke Briefcase explosive ability! Like being able to plant a timed Nuclear Briefcase one time and be able to re arm by going back to a barracks.and the briefcase should have the equivilant power of a Nuke Missile.

Here are some cool ideas that i hope you like :)

 

Foe the demolition general maybe a unit you can build from the arms dealer is a random civilian car with a terrorist in it, it wont be as powerful as a bomb truck but still does good damage.

 

The infantry general should get a mortar unit from the barracks instead of the inferno cannon 

 

The nuke general maybe could have a unit similar to the M.A.D tank from Red Alert. It is a suicide unit that upon detonation releases a large shockwave on the ground that kills itself and a large radius  

 

those are some ideas for now, more to come

The suggestions are interesting. I am not sure if Creator will accept any suggestions for Generals, though. But some of them might be implemented in Red Alert 3 in the next years. That's right, we have plans on moving Contra on the Red Alert 3 engine. It gives us more possibilities. Also, no random crashes.

Maybe too late, but when I played this fantastic mod, I forget to play other mods. upgrades,Super units,maps & new units are awesome. I offer you to add some infantries to all USA factions. a new weapon for colonel burton, like Shock Wave mod, air force general's colonel has a gettling gun and armor general's colonel has a very heavy rifle.or make an option that can disable buildings or power or reset timers. like frank jaeger in ROTR. change the cybernetic's general's barracks model.add karakourt a mine sweeper.add some addition or upgrades or other to infantry general's super unit (I call it mobile bunker because I don't know its name). bring back iron dragon to nuke general (like contra 002). if I offer you these, because I played other mods and i thought if you mix some of their models and contra it is better than the first one. :thumbsuphappy:

We do not copy ideas from other mods.

Cybernetic Barracks will be replaced with Cyborg Factory (http://www.moddb.com...actory#imagebox)

Karakourt will become too strong with a minesweeper. It is a close quarters super unit and making it invulnerable to mines will make it too powerful. This unit already has enough upgrades.

Suan Ni (the mobile bunker super unit) does not need more upgrades. Look, it has a speaker tower, anti-air gattling cannons and a minesweeper by default. Also, very high armor and gains the role of the infantry inside. It's enough.

Nuclear General has three planes, all of them act differently. What role do you think Iron Dragon will take?

Hum, d you have seen the ''Modern Warfare Mod'' for ZH ?! OMG you can use Ships, Tanks are very realistics and planes too ! So why you didn't do like him ? Also he say that he do that alone ! How about your team !!!! :w00t:  Thank's ! :)

It's unfortunate that explosives trucks are no longer able to deguise itself like the original version, why did you remove that ? :(

Early Anti-ECM for AF general:

 

While playing AF vs Tank General, I noticed that I had a huge problem dealing with units protected by ECM tanks. Since early game you only get F-18, F-16, Comanche, Pave Law and Chinook to deal with ground units and they all have missile based weapons, I found it absolutely troublesome and frustrating to take them out. 

With ECMs you cannot do precision strikes (which the AF gen is all about), and even if your deflected missiles hit other targets, it's still not enough to scratch a tank blob (even scratching is useless since china can heal with propaganda). 

Even if I do survive to reach rank3, the only practical unit to take out ECMs are F-35's. 

 

So either I'm missing something here, or it's really unfair.

This is true. You have to use Coyote tanks for this purpose. They are fast and able to ambush ECM tanks. Upgrade your buildings with Security Systems in case they get inside your base.

Hey guys, me and my friends as big fans for contra we're looking forward to give you some suggestions with the hope of considering them:

1.USA AFG must get better anti tank aircrafts because when I played with AFG against my friend as China tanks General there was no hope for me, I just get defeated in 16 mins because F-35 is not good enough against overlord-type tanks, as well as AFG must get a unit that could be reached at rank 5 in the War factory because his war factory is boring.

2.In China you made the black lotus can plant bombs using her laptop...well, then what about planting them from a distance like the rest of her abilities ?! because it's soo sad & bad that black lotus plant bombs like the way that Burten and Kell do !!

3.China Yan Wang must be stronger after upgrading it with improved MIRV, because when Yan Wang's missile explodes the 3 clusters is boring, it must be different,ex. the nuke missile explosion but off course smaller and less powerful.

4.GLA Assault General must get an extra better close quarters-combat unit as it is "ASSAULT" general, I suggest that you must bring back Desert Cruiser super unit, as well as Karkadan existed then there will be 2 super units (notice: this is not unfair because USA Cyber general have 3 super units), also Assault general must get an Airfield and good aircrafts to support the artillery units fast.

5.Also we Strongly suggest that you put an harbor building and ships for all generals or maybe some of them.

Thanks for reeding, let me know your opinion about our suggestions and we hope that you consider at least 2 of them.

Some of your suggestions make sense. We will discuss them. Ships don't work properly in Generals.
