actually i didnt like that idea at all.
think of it in a 4v4 match.
iron dragon(2 rows of 4 horizontal)
the first 2 players could work like a shield and try to slow down the enemy advance. all they need to do is that and give 2 swg's behind them some money every now and then.
result: 40 t-stoms and no way to kill them yet since this can get achiefed at begin rank 3

If those two in front are the only beginning defenders, then four of you can crush them all quickly, forcing their retreat. Build outpost and then push harder. If they spend money on t-storm, then they're weak and vulnerable. If they spend money on def, then you can worry less about the superweapons.

That why Creator has given SWG unlimited tomahawk storm in 008.

Not all people play with tournament rules....

New players tend to play with tournament mode off. Intermediate and pro players like to play with this mode.

And how came you know for how many years I've been playing the game ?
Dude you really have to slow down a bit, you're not the GOD of ZH !
And the fact that I don't like Tournament mode does not make me a worse player than you....

I didn't say I'm God of ZH. I merely state what I've seen statistically during online Contra matches. Intermediate players and up tend to ask for tournament mode on. I use 'tend' because there will be someone who does not fit in my description. What I described is not you but players as entirety.

If you feel offended, I'm sorry. I didn't mean such thing.

Unlimited super weapons don`t give SW general new strategy, and we are discussing about new strategy, this only increase his effect with super weapons. Paladin or Mammoth tank at rank 3 would give SW general a chance to survive when and if he is sabotaged with power down, or if 2 of 3 superweapons are destroyed by some power.

Paladin or Mammoth tank at rank 3... It can be powerful Mammoth, but limited - no more than 1 and slow. It will allow defend the base, but will not allow to attack effectively.

How about this Creator,powerfull tank at rank3,but he is superunit,he would take a role just like everyone elses superunit which is at rank5,but this one is at rank3.But...he would require a beacon (a structure which works like propaganda tower),only here,when he goes outside towers radius he wont be able to fire at all.So,he only fires near beacon.This beacon is limited to 1 and has a radius to cover a medium base.So,problem with sw superunit is solved,he is a guardian of the base (maybe he could be at rank5 instead rank3).Maybe you could use some taramas models (like more advanced than tanks,which would explain beacons).Or...maybe you could use beacon idea for something else...

I thought about it already. Each super weapon general building must have something similar to healing field, while tanks will degrade with time. When a tank is in the field, nothing happens. Heal speed is equal to degradation speed. When a tank gets out of this field, it looses health or gets disabled.

It can be also implemented by adding a control tower. It can be made 2 ways:
1) Control tower has healing field. Its logic is described above.
2) The logic is similar to usual USA flying drones. A vehicle spawns a drone, which flies around and attacks. Control tower spawns a tank. The tank will act like a drone. It will not be selectable. But control tower will acquire targets automatically and direct the tank.

I did not tested anything yet. Just ideas. Something can be impossible to implement.

Hmm...automatically,i dont like it.He will attack some weak units and/or infantry that are closer while more dangerous units attack from flank.He should be selectable,and its noot good to turn him off outside range,how would we then bring him back i radius?And give unlimited towers its not wise,cause you can use him then in offense tactics...build one by one tower,protect them with base defense buildings and escort super tank....I suggest him only as base defender alternate version when defences are offline or destroyed,with small radius of firing (make him like cy commando,able to fly or be on ground as supplement for not shooting outside of base,to be able to avoid some danger situations where he can engage enemy)...

I have an idea.

lets work further on the idea of control towers. It could work like mini-war factories. You can recruit tanks in them, and they will guard a preset area. you could choose from an artillerist batilion (5 tomahawks) a tank destroy batilion (5 MCVs) or a anti infantry batilion (5 humvees). they could work like the drones for the drone controller (but like in remix, that you can choose what drone)

yes. Might be really nice. maybe powerplants could have multiple tanks, so that they could be used as the main def. and they are needed for power, and so they will become one of the most wanted buildings on the list of the one attacking SW gen
