They should edit the posts that tell you how to exploit the bug.

How come the mothership doesn't destroy the buzzers outright? Is it a special ability or something?

The weapon's direct area of effect is pretty small, so I guess most of them are standing too far away, but get "infected" because those that are killed are still near enough. That's my explanation. But I don't understand the sense of this "feature" anyway, I'd have rather made the AoE bigger and the mothership worth its price... but that's me.

But what causes the buzzers to explode like that in the first place? Don't they just die without collateral damage when the beam hits them?

This is one nasty exploit. The Mothership has a weapon that, well, infects is the best word I can think of to describe it. The affected units, i.e. the buzzers, don't die instantly. They can go through the wormhole and then die. This sends the effect to anything near the wormhole exit, which in turn eventually die, and spread it further, and so on.

I don't actually have the game yet, so the above is sheer speculation based on what I've read.

That's why the Mothership's weapon is called the Catalyst Cannon. In chemistry, a catalyst is something which can provoke or accelerate a reaction.

LOL ultimate exploit...that is so horribly cheap it's not even funny...well, it is, but majorly imba. Sure you're dumb for letting em tech up that far but still...extreme oversploit there...

Its actuly not a exploit just a bug because the buzzers should be killed instatly also if you are stupid ewnough to let them get a mother ship you should complain to yourself ive used this online and its great the onlything scrin are worth doing.

And really you are stupid the guy that posted this because this is just going to spread and morepeople are going to use it so i hope your happy and you get leveled by it. Have a nice day XD

I bet you're the fucking spawn-camper on every FPS game ever played.

I bet you're the AWPenislicker in Counterstrike.

I bet you're the damned engi-rusher in YR and the air-rusher in RS.

The bloody Mino/Projector spammer in EBFD.

The Zerg horde-er in SC.

The ACU-suicide-bomber in Supreme Commander.

The kid who always wants the planes in Battlefield

The Landshark in Medal of Honor.

Need I go on? :)

My point here? All these tactics are doable, but are obnoxiously cheap. I am normally a big proponent of 'stop bitching, start working around it', but some/most of these are impossible to work around. This one is almost impossible. Sure you can build spread out but it's all too easy to dump it near your MAJOR structure area. And no fucking moron relies solely on the ass tactic. They're invariably going to follow up with a big-ass force while you're smarting from the loss of your power/factories/CY.

Buzzers don't even show up for me, I saw them when I tested the game in EALA, but they don't show up for me in this game. I just get the little pink spots where they should be based on player color. Go figure.
