I just tried out practicing on a typhoon sub I may need to flatten the top though so I can bring out the missile doorways

also need to get rid of that pink :thumbsupsmiley:

Also working on that battleship so I hope to have that done soon

any tips or criticism is ok

I'm gonna get a pic on the voxel viewer cause its a bit hard to see all of it in game

heres a better pic

Well, for a first tryout that is pretty good :xcahik_: My first medium-scale voxel edit was fixing up and re-doing an Allied MLRS that Firestorm made. It took a very long time, but it had a rather nice result :thumbsupsmiley:

It's nice to see that you took my advice on-board, and have decided to try and do something for yourself for a change. Everyone must start somewhere, and you've taken your first step forward.

As for the pink dots, go to Scripts-->Colour Scheme--->Others-->Kill (2-25) and (239-255) Colours. I also recommend lightening the fins, black doesn't look too good in-game. Colour 58 (0x03A) is a better colour.

Tail fins are nice also

Realism is so overrated it isn't even funny. You already know what happens in reality, how is that entertaining...?

Change blue to dark grey, and change the orange to remap. Blue and orange in-game doesn't work well at all, the blue would turn pink, and the orange... well it would look better as remap :thumbsupsmiley:

Yea I thought it kinda reminded me of the sailors baking eggs on it so I changed it to 58 as well as the fins I'll change the blue while I'm at it

Well I've tried something of a concept for my Deathray tank the 3rd faction has but I used the voxel known as the Mental Tank and added a few things I dunno who actually made this one I just got it from YR argentina so let me know if I need to take it off or anything

Posted Image

Ok the mental tank was made by Mevitar but just let me know if I should take it off or anything

What version of VXSE III are you using? The latest version is 1.36, and can be downloaded here. It comes with a new auto-normaliser that should fix the normals problem

Black dots are where the engine renders a gap in the voxel, so the dot is the voxel on the far side showing through. Fixable by adding another layer of correctly normalled voxels behind problem areas, or changing the bounds so the voxels are actually possitioned nearer.

Poor autonormals are often a result in actual gaps or holes in the voxel. So long as the voxels "closed," the normals should fit the outside contours, whilst older versions (methinks, Banshee would be able to explain better and without mistakes) could normal the inside, so the outside would be wrong.

I think what Jeeves is trying to say, is that you should fill in the hollow inside of the voxel :) Don't remove redundant voxels, it will just give you more black dots! :)

I guess that's why none of my voxels have black dots :)
