Just got an email from APOC (Predator) Worldbuilder is up for download. It's 8 mg and I'm going right now to get it. So have fun and let's start cranking out some maps and map tutorials.
Our partner in crime CNC3Files also has the direct d/l mirrored here http://www.cnc3files...orldbuilder.exe

Hey everyone,

We have just put Worldbuilder for Command & Conquer 3 live on our download server, so that means, YES, it is public, approved, and ready to go! I wanted to do the honor of giving Worldbuilder to the community first exclusively, especially for your patience and dedication. I will not be posting this link on our official site until tomorrow around lunch time. So, you guys get the exclusive for the first downloads on our new world builder for C&C 3!

The download is only 8 MB and includes an extensive manual. Post this everywhere on your sites and get those map skills cranking! Its time to make some kick-ASS multiplayer maps for Command & Conquer 3!

http://files.ea.com/...orldbuilder.exe

Lastly, we know there have been reports today of connection issues, we are currently on top of this, so not to worry. Will keep you posted and keep your eyes our official forums for updates.

Alright my friends, I’ll have more exciting news and updates early next week and as soon as you have maps rolling, please share them with us! I plan to have our dev team review and rate maps for posting on our official site.

Goodluck and happy mapping!
-APOC

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |

Examined... damn even on my powerful computer it still takes 20+sec to load. This is unheard of! Regardless, there is still no way to edit AI scripts. I did notice the good olde scb editor <shutters>.. ohhhh.. hope those days are LOOONNGG GONE!!!!!!!

Well seeing WB again is a blast from the past back in my hardcore Generals/ZH AI days. Ouch.. Dawn of War is still the easiest to AI script but hopefully XML will ease that.

hello,

well thudo i reccomand reading the tutorial since somewhere in the first part and such it tels stuff on how to add AI. and BTW I MADE A NOOB MAP WITHOUT modding the ai and it just WORKED!! no more things like in generals where you need to make 100 tweeks to make it workXDXDXD.
but that may also be since i have messed alot with it:P. but i hope you guys make a really great A.I. and WILL be ussefull and not useeLESS :). so i hope the best for A.I> Creators.

I looked at it - the mapdata built in WB doesn't directly control the Skirmish AI (unless perhaps its a campaign map which then is conducted via triggers and zones). Its run off from somewhere else. WB just calls the AI but does not script its core logic.

ok, hmm i hope it is easy so i can also create my own A.I. and let it rush rifleman with 100000 at once and 100000 rocket soldiers, that would seem fun to me Infantry wars. i think we can make our own game modes since they are availble in world builder. but if we want a game mode infantry only we need to search for the code to disable superweapons and then apply it on all tanks? or makeing huge city walls and let them be indestructable and after 10 minuted it will be gone IE the indesctructable trigger is deactivatet another trigger wich kills the walls will be activated? i think that might work but consider this as only a theorie. but i also geuss we can make a gamemode where you need to destroy a building to win, that might be easy to make since in the campain you need to kill the grid thingy and then there power fell out maybe we can change that to kill youre whole base. but it might need serious testing and one airrush and the building is i geuss death. or we can make it so you must pick a team and then you already have a few buildings in youre command IE power plants defenses around the grid(or other importhant building) and let it be NO SCRIN since the scrin can kill it without being in range of the grid.
well those where my ideas so far i hope someone can get something out it.

The problem is that EA have taken single-player campaign map support out of WorldBuilder, and they say that the Mod SDK will be needed first.

Maybe they're compressed like the rest of the game files.

Pretty interesting. I'll probably take a look at this, as I was a YR mapper. Couldn't figure a thing out in the Generals Worldbuilder. :(

EDIT: Seems like its the same... Copy and paste, but the control is HORRIBLE! Rightclicking is driving me nuts!!! So choppy and slow.

#2 EDIT: Eh, anyone know how to extract data from those .big files?

#3 EDIT: Another question would be, where do you save custom maps? I can't find out where, and its not in the My Documents section.
