Hello and welcome,

over the past few days i have created a few maps to get the feeling of wb. i DIDNT have previous experience using worldbuilder or warcraft3 map makers thingy. but i have past experience with the SOURCE engine mapper yes the one from valve i found it pretty easy to discover the basics my own. and this time it is time for the world builder to put my time in. i hope you people like my maps

Map 1: Redzone Skyhigh

well this map was created for me learning wb. and it turned out pretty well.
but i still dont have time to test it so if youre pc crashes or the scrin is suddenly behind you iam not responsible.
and yes there are some ionstorms.

and yes the desing isnt good. but its my first map in WB so what did you thought:P?
i hope you people like it. iam of to test it.

Use PNG or JPG

Its spelt "gif," "jpg" refeers to the kind of blurring that would incite more discomfort than not getting the thumbnail view :crazed:

nice job, also you could try doing some paths with different layers of dirt textures blended into the grass textures. Its also good to do random patches of textures that are similar to your base texture, adds a realistic look. Just some ideas, hope you practice with WB and become a mapper

hello,

fist of all thanks for the nice replies.
and gil galad thanks for the advice ^_^ i will try to look into texturing if i got a bit of the feeling on how to do it:P. but i think if i know wb well i might could make some quality maps.
but iam still also someone who wants to be a programer/3d artist/ etc.. i have many dreams for working with a computer:P but im thinking of going in the army let them pay my studie/school for 3d art get my driver license and leave. yes you can do that here in the netherlands if you apply for 5 years. I.E. im 18 i join the army 5 years later iam 23 i have a lot of muscle and i know alot of /progrmar/3d art or whatever. and i join EALA and tell them how to build a real CNC3:P. no just kidding but i have many plans:P. but hey im still 15 i have i geuss like another 75 years to go (80 years sounds nice to me 90 alost). but those are dreams.

~godsun .. i will keep dreaming till i die i will keep thinking till i die i will keep loveing my "future" wife(if i have one:P) i will keep haveing faith i will keep believing that revora will be the biggest community of the whole modding aspect i will keep being nosey i will keep wasting youre time:P.

~godsun once again GoodBye.

A decent quality JPEG is fine. Just don't generate it with paint. And GIF is horrible for this sort of thing, as it's limited to 256 colors. If you really want lossless, use PNG.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.
