I've had this idea...
For the most part, you guys all want to get rid of CAH. I agree.
But, some people are gonna miss it; also, that means a few hero models and good powers wasted.
On top of this, some people really liked that RPG game The Third Age, and this was a chance to reel them in.
So...

Why not add a new, basic hero to each inn faction based on the existing CAHs? They're good material for the first Inn Heroes. For example: Berethor for the Gondor Inn faction, Idrial for the Elf Inn faction, Hadhod for the Dwarf Inn Faction, and then make up the others, including one for the Southern Fiefdoms. You can drop the other premade CAHs, because they were just made up for the game and no thought or detail went into them. Replace them with better ones.

You mean with powers that you don't choose? That's not a very good idea... the powers are all too generic, and would just add more heroes to the current abundance of heroes. People prefer choosing & customising their heroes, not picking premade ones.

I would have to honestly say that would only add more work to certain jobs that have been delayed too long. Case in point: The units and faction soundsets.

How the hell would that affect soundsets? The heroes are already made in game anyway, they're default CaHs you can't delete.

I don't think it would be that great, just because it's not really canon and and like puppet said, people enjoy customization more than just getting the heroes, but if we did do it it certainly wouldn't add any more work or delay other things...

I personally don't care; it's just that some people (such as players of T3A) might look up with interest if you told them that their favourite characters were going to be included in the mod. On top of that, it doesn't "waste" the models and powers of CAH.
But if you do decide on this, please rethink their powers, which are downright suckish right now.

As far as that walking on walls. It would be awesomely incredible if we could get a wall system like stronghold's.

I think that would require alot of work. It'd be nice, though. Just not sure on how much effort would be required.

Hmm...Or perhasp the walls could upgrade like that or something....

Yeah, they'd have to be a lot wider. I think, however, that that would defeat the purpose of the ordinary walls.

No, I don't want more heroes at all. You have just the right amount - I even think that the Dwarves have too many, what with King Brand and Prince Bard and Thorin VI and Bovril IV or whatever his name is and so on and so forth. They just seem rather generic. Their powers have no real meaning for the character, since we know nothing about the characters except a vague mention. (If it were up to me - of course, it isn't; I'm just voicing my views - I'd either cut the two new Dwarven heroes and spend a little time improving the existing ones. It seems that the Dwarves weren't supposed to have many, generic heroes, they're supposed to have a handful of strong ones.)
This is why I said that the Third Age heroes would be exclusively for the inn - too many heroes is boring. I don't really care in the end, though.

Have you thought to add some new voices to units? From movies or with voiceactors?

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

Voices and sound effects are still a very big WIP. We're probably going to aim for having all factions ingame and working before going for details like that.

And I play without sound anyway (iTunes FTW), so, yeah :p

If I knew what kind of equipment I'd need and how to upload it, I'd gladly be a voice actor. I'm really good at that kind of thing. My impression of Gollum could frighten the life out of a small child. Some say it already did, but I say that was never proven.

I would appreciate it if Bilbo Baggins didn't have identity issues , but yeah, voice stuff is secondary, unless someone wants to donate their time especially to that.

EDIT: And on your sig, now that you've promised, you've got to deliver :p

EDIT2: And baritone is an inferior instrument, compared to, say, clari-(mofo'in)-net ;)
