Borrow implies you'd be using them for a short amount of time then returning them. I believe the phrase you're looking for is 'permission to use your models, so that our mod set in the exact same age as yours can also have all the same models/skins, thus being no different to your mod.'

Neither did I, so I learnt the skills myself. It's not that hard to make half-decent stuff, that if nothing else can serve as placeholders until you get better.

Using other peoples' models saves a lot of time, and by reskinning them they you can make them look quite different from the original... But making your own models can be very fun, except for the binding part :mellow:

If you want to learn how to make models, check the tutorials of the main site ;)
