Also, some of the voices appear to have been badly chosen; the Harardrim and Rhúnic captains shout "They cannot stop the valour of Gondor!" and "For Gondor!" while Khorgoran yells, "Sauron must be defeated!". (I'd give him the voice of the Witch-King... what with that mask, and all...)

Well, do you really think those are valid voices? :p I don't have additional voices, so most units with weird voices are only temp voices.. ;) I don't really like it when a unit has zero sounds... And The Witch King only has Fellbeast sounds..

I just got hammered by Rohan yesterday - they began spamming Ents, which just bulldozed over my army. Seriously, just one can kill one of your toughest heroes in, what, five seconds?

Ent's won't be in the Rohan faction when it's done ;)

If there's one criticism, it's that the Rally the Mark and Kingdom of Gondor spells are maybe too hard to purchase. It means you spend most of the game unable to use two thirds of your army, and some heroes (such as Farin) are ineffective.

That's the point... If you want some of those golly good units, you'll have to kill for it ;) Think of it this way, they are your reinforcements, and they don't come in your army right away ;)

The Rohan one did... The Gondor one didn't, and that's a blessing.

Wait, wait... The Rohan one works? ;) Gotta check that out..

Hey Lauri, how do you want to have the Harad Palace look like?

I won't use any of the original buildings for Harad ;) I've got a design for a new set of buildings, which I'll use ;) But if I did use the original buildings, the standard would have been for standard units, and the cooler palace for "cooler" units, that will say, the tough guys :p

He made one already, and I think he'll stick to that one.

Meh... I'm tempted to grind you for canon seeing as there is only 1 Black Numenorean... but I won't. The thing is that the Black Numenoreans were supposed to play a roll in The New Shadow and the events after and leading up to it. One unit is all that would be needed to eliminate the canon issue, however.

Isn't it enough to have one Black Numenorian to turn two factions against Gondor and Rohan? :p

"I did begin a story placed about 100 years after the Downfall, but it proved both sinister and depressing. Since we are dealing with Men it is inevitable that we should be concerned with the most regrettable feature of their nature: their quick satiety with good. So that the people of Gondor in times of peace, justice and prosperity, would become discontented and restless, while the dynasts descended from Aragorn would become just kings and governers, like Denethor or worse. I found that even so early there was an outcrop of revolutionary plots, about a centre of secret Satanistic religion; while Gondorian boys were playing at being Orcs and going around doing damage. I could have written a 'thriller' about the plot and its discovery and overthrow, but it would have been just that. Not worth doing."
-The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien, Letter 256
And the only known M.E. satanic religion was Morgoth-ism.

If it were, by chance, however... AFTER The New Shadow, you could pass it off as canon enough.

I wouldn't consider that canon as he scrapped the story.

He was considering making a story, but decided not to. I consider it canon because that's what he intended to happen. The letter is canon, as is what we know, but even without it.... Black Numenoreans had been multiplying in the south. If nothing more, it'd be nice to see you make 1 or 2 skins and mix 'em in with normal Harad and/or Rhun units.

Alright, tell you what.

If YOU make a couple of good looking Black Numenoreans, I'll consider putting them in. How's that?

You already start out with a captain and 2 battalions of infantry. Those are what you get untill you start building units and heroes.
And what is this campaign of which you speak?
Also... Matias, what I'm saying is canonical... Tolkien's letter was never scrapped as 100% lore because it was written by him. He just scrapped the idea of writing a story. There would be more than one Black Numenorean. And in case you didn't notice... I can't skin. If someone would kindly direct me to the software and tutorials, I'd try to learn. The mod is still good without Black Numenorenas, but it'd be a little more canonicall with them.

Well if you can't skin I guess there won't be any more Black Numenoreans.

There are more than one Black Numenorian :crazed:
Their just hiding... :p

Campaign would be awesome, but I doubt we'll ever see that ;)
Cheaper heroes and scouts won't be in, at least not planned in...
