Try downloading the launcher and loading it from there:

Ok, I tried the "target\start in" like u said, Phoenix, but those didn't work, so I tried this path:

Target: "C:Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\swfoc.exe" MODPATH=Mods\Phoenix_Rising_Starfighter_Mini-Mod\Phoenix Rising.Ink

Start In: "C\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption"

I used this path, and it was valid. So I tried it, and there was no mod when the startup screen came up. Next, I d-loaded the mod launcher, when it opened up, it showed that PR wasn't even on the installed mods list...so what now?

Any ideas? Is my path messed up? Cuz the one u used wasn't even valid....(for me anyways)

Should I re-install FoC?

Remove "Phoenix Rising.Ink" from the modpath, that shouldn't be in there.

Probably not, slornie  . I noticed when I d-loaded PR, all I saw was a shortcut and all the other files, no start-up file, because a shortcut needs a "base file" to come from. What convinced me something was wrong was that PR wasn't even installed when I opened up the mod launcher. It's like I haven't even installed it yet.... :)

Maybe I need to re-download the mod....

Is it even slightly possible that u forgot to put something in the mod, Phoenix?

Would re-installing FoC help?

Cmon I seriously need help here... :p

and yes, I'll remove "Phoenix Rising.Ink"

It works for everyone else. I don't think reinstalling FoC would help though. I don't know what to say. Did you put it in the Mods folder? Because you have to create one in the base directory if you haven't installed any mods yet.

so - you have downloaded the mod, and have extracted the .zip file

you put the folder 'Phoenix_Rising_Starfighter_Mini-mod' into the 'Mods' folder (see attached image for an example)

in the properties for the shortcut you change the 'target' field to point towards wherever you have the game installed - with 'MODPATH=Mods\Phoenix_Rising_Starfighter_Mini-mod' on the end

for example: "C:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\swfoc.exe" MODPATH=Mods\Phoenix_Rising_Starfighter_Mini-mod

and the 'start in' field to point to where the game is installed

for example: "C:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption"

Thanks for that, slornie. I should've just used the default path, but since I never install that way, I had no idea what it was :thumbsupsmiley:.

no problem, i hope that people find it useful - i think the problem is likely to be that the mod isnt in the right place - like when you extract the file, it might put it in a folder within folder, which would mean it doesnt show up as a valid mod (my example is when i extracted it asked me to name a folder, and it ended up with the actual folder inside one called 'PR' - which obviously doesnt work)

btw - i just noticed something when playing - when you activate the lock s-foils ability on Mara's headhunter the icon above the unit shows up twice (one above another)

Yeah, I think that is a side effect of Mara not being in a squadron. There are some other problems with her sounding like the Z-95 pilot, but I just need to override those with a blank sound since it doesn't accept a null parameter once it has been varianted. I just love how the Z-95 comes full circle to almost become the X-wing though. I got the inspiration from this picture.

Hey, slornie, I just looked at that picture you attached and it appears that the icon on my shortcut doesn't show up either :evgr:. Why can't Windows just take relative paths? Anyways, the icon is supposed to go with the shortcut.

i did EXACTLY what you told me to do but now all i get is the E@WFOC original game, not the mod.

Click on the Petroglyph Launcherm, then it will come up with a new screen, once your their (if you put the mod in the mod folder) then it should show up there, put in your FOC disk, highlight the mod you want to play, and click start
