many grown-ups don't play games, but that's because they didn't grow up with them.
That's true. They grew up with board games.
But when I was younger, about 12 years ago, a few of my brothers and I got Gameboys for Christmas. Everyone was playing their little portable games, and my dad saw one of my brothers playing Tetris. He borrowed the Gameboy started playing Tetris and got hooked on it. About 2 weeks later, he goes out and buys a Gameboy for himself and just sat around playing Tetris whenever he had free time.
Same thing happened when we got SNES. He saw that you could hook-up the Gameboy games into it and play them. Sure enough, he went out and bought one for himself. And all he ever played was Tetris, some kind of battleship war game, and anothewr I don't remember.
Long story short, if an adult finds a game that is interesting and fun to play, they will probably go out and spend the money to keep playing it. All they need to do is get hooked. But that's not everyone.
I personally will play video games from time to time; but I rarely, if ever sit down and watch TV for more than a hour.

so he asked his son what he does when hes board.
his son (my freind) handed his dad some video games.
later the next day we saw him at our soccer game sitting in a lawn chair playing game boy as intently as any child could.
another story.
my cousin comes over to my grandfathers house.
he hooks up his x box to my grandfathers T.V.
my counsin starts playing Halo with my grandfather
after my counsin kills my grandfather about 20 times.
my grandfather dissapears in the basement.
he comes upstairs with a knife and a pistol, and hands the knife to my cousin.
"You want to play Halo?" he asks.
