Is the first image one of it at Rank 2 or 3? It's some really outstanding work there again. I love the style you've come up with for Dwarven architecture, I really feels like it would be made by Dwarves. Amazing work. Can I ask, what does it do? Recruit elites (looks like there are sitting areas, maybe it's like a well or something)? Anyway, fantastic work as always.

It's Rank 3 and Rank 1. Rank 2 is somewhere in between them. As for what it does, well, the name by itself is a pretty big hint :xd:

Hall of Elders... does sound an awful lot like an elite-unit's barracks. Fantastic work, although I think that repeating that for each update is a bit superfluous. So I pronounce that this week's update is going to be described (by myself) as... superfluously exquisite. (I don't think superfluously is a word is it?)

^^No, it is. Means 'more than necessary'. Hehe, kennethain, you're having the same problem as me - running out of words. You guys already know it's good work, I don't need to tell you that. :xd:

From what I had gathered he was an amazing skinner, not so bad as a modeler, and I think an average coder. But he had a talent for skinning, mostly when it came to doing Elven units.

Oh, and his category would probably be a skinner. :xd:

Dont think GW has shown alot of Dwarven architecture, so I'll bet it's Nertea's own design.

It's actually far more influenced by Greco-Roman architecture than anything else.

Who wants more Dwarven stuff?

Tough. We have maps this week. Weathertop is by me, and Vales of Celduin is by our newest member of staff; SnoopyZero.

Posted Image Posted Image

And just so you know, I spent several hours making sure that the buildings on Weathertop are as close as possible to the movies. The zoomed out screen doesn't show you that though. You can also see a couple of VoA screens in the Mappers thread, which Snoopy posted a few days ago.

I know... I could sort that by doing a series of zoomed in screens and putting them together... but that would take ages probably (especially with the size of your map).

Woah, these maps are coming along very fast. Looks like there'll be over 50 new ones when RA is released. Good work, Vales of Celduin is nice, although a little unbalanced maybe, especially the towers on the hills (can you actually climb up and garrison those?), and Weathertop looks pretty good, but the actual Ruins of Amon Sul seem a little small compared to the bases. It's still some great work, I hope you can climb up there and have a battle in the ruins . Amazing work, and congratulations to Snoopy for making the team.
