Paris Hilton gets 45 days in the slammer...

For once I almost feel sorry for her, not because she doesn't deserve it. But moreso because she has no clue what's it's gonna be like.
I've spent a few nights in jail in my early years, but only ever overnight. And it sucked bad. I can't imagine a Hilton princess serving 45 days in county jail.
She'll be kept apart from the others for her protection, but dude, she is for such a serious lifestyle change. Maybe it'll do her good. IMO she will be more mature after her jail sentence.

Does anyone who's never been in jail know what it's like? I don't think so.. I don't feel more sorry for her than for anyone else in such a situation.
I think it'll do her good and that she'll be more mature yeah.

ahem. Well I think she deserved this sentence. This is not the first time she's ever broken the law, and she is most certainly not above it. Of course she should get special protection while there, but the treatment must be just (ie: same

she is the modern world's version of a princess. the heir to a corporation. before you know it, Bill Gates's children will be running all over the globe indirectly sprinkling PR over Microsoft.
in my eyes this is just another symptom of corporations gaining way too much power in the world. when they can start their own aristocracy that works double as a PR-machine, people should start to take notice.
on the topic of she being imprisoned for a month. its not like we will hear less about it. the media will be all over the place. we will see pictures of her in a orange jumpsuit holding a genetically modified dog in her left hand and a cellphone in her right, posing for the cameras.

hrm, just the fact that paris hilton is a topic in these forums makes me annoyed. she is a capitalist version of a celebrity, she does nothing that true artists gets fame for, she is just famous because she comes from a rich family.

Agreed.
To be honest just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean she shouldn't obey the law. I think she should be punished just like every other human who would do such things.

Celebs get away with everything. No chance she'll spend time in prison. If we're lucky she'll get a week actually inside.
Agreed.
Oh... Wait, I should say something of my own!
Yeah Duke, corporations are starting to become like global monarchies. I can imagine that just like every other horrid ruler, they will be brought down in flames if they push their luck too far. They can't get away with this shit forever, like the king of Interface, Ray Anderson says (approximately) "There will be a time in the future where we cannot get away with this, where people like me will be criminals" Referring to generic corporate evil.
I'm not a celebrity person really, Paris certainly doesn't interest me, she hasn't done anything to earn her fame and she's an idiot. I do hope, however, that if she does get this prison sentence, it will perhaps force her to grow up a bit and act more mature.
And Paradox is probably right, unfortunately

I shall only laugh harder when Prince Harry gets blown to pieces
I will laugh when all the socialists, anarchists and communists are set on fire and their remains fed to the proles. In my opinion if you have the money you should be able to buy your way out of prison, I mean if you have the cash why can't you spend it?
We need private courts.

wonder if ali is actually the prince, he takes great grief whenever he is mentioned so it might be likely. though i haven't imagined the prince as a big revora-character(i.e. white and nerdy).

lol, didn't know that Ali did sarcasm.
or does he?
if it wasn't, i dunno what i would have to say about it. using money to buy yourself out of any kind of trouble that people without cash has to endure, sounds like a wonderland of pretty colors indeed.
hehe, imagine how ww2 would have gone then, Hitler invades Poland and says "woops, sorry about that, heres a few billions for that trespassing, no worries eh?" and the rest of the world says "...ah, it happens to the best*counts cash*".

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

There is not way around it. BAM shuts the cell door.
Shhhh, can you hear that? That sound of wimpering from a jail cell deep in the night? I bet that's Paris crying her eyes out and wondering how all this happened.
Maybe because you got a DUI and probation, than got pulled over again driving illegal and said you didn't know you couldn't drive and signing a waiver saying you now understand, than got caught again.
That's a blaatant disrespect for the law. See you Paris in 45 days...

naturally the inmates are very creative at making impromptu tools of stuff they got access to (up here we let our prisoners build wooden pallets, the US is prolly more known for carplates), so just hope that they have the right resources available(wood is good ).

They're people who are looked up to. They're admired. They live in the public eye. But as soon as they do something that the public wouldn't get away with, its ignored so as not to tarnish their image.
IMO, public figures should be open to public scrutiny, and if they're going to be idolised they should be used as examples. I know a few dumb ***** *******s that have, when asked to name their rolemodel, responded with Paris' name, and they're exactly the sort of dumb ***** *******s who would go drink driving because she does it.
Personal disgust for her aside, 45 days is far too light a penalty...

Place Paris Hilton in the hardest LA jail and some things will happen people don't up front think of.
There will be blackmail. These are hard core gang girls, all they have to say to Paris is transfer some money to my friend or get hurt. This includes includes rape with broomsticks and major beatings.
Someone might want to get famous and simply stab her, or kill her. These aren't just run of the mill kinda bad girls. These are girls who will kick the asses out of ALL the men at Revora, IMO.
So even though I'd love to see a bitch pay her dues. I'm kinda wondering if she won't be stabbed or killed in order for someone to "become famous"
If I was her I'd opt for solitary confinement for the whole sentence. IT might suck, but it's better than getting stuck.
