To all those who've signed up and have not gotten the pm yet, since the next release will be out shortly I'll just be sending you an e-mail for that release.

Thank you to all who've signed up. While not everything I've worked on this week will be in 1.05.02, there is a lot of new items in the release. (I'm holding off on some of it to put into the "locked-down" beta in 1.05.03.) That one should have at least as 1.05.02 & 1.05.01 if not more.

There is a lot but i would love to join in beta testing because it is such a sweet mod which i want to contribute to.

Apologies that I’m not the most prolific poster between rock and sky, I simply prefer not to say anything unless I have something to say. I now have something to say, or rather, ask. I expect this question can be fielded by a more experienced tester, rather than disturbing Rob’s progress on his Great Work.

How does/will the mod effect or be effected by a no-cd fix?

I can live without it, if the sacrifice must be made, so it’s not something I want to make a big deal out of or delay the production of the mod for even half a second. However, my computer is special in the “special ed” sense and to make sure it reboots properly in unfortunate situations, there is a CD I need to keep in the drive which is not the RotWK CD but is sadly related to gently guiding my motherboard’s sad, confused, and half blind BIOS to the length of cable properly attached to a hard drive, and through it, the operating system. But enough lamentation.

The answer I expect is that I’ll be fine for solo play, but I’ll need a normal installation to properly appreciate the joys of multiplayer. I’m hoping that there is some magical “thing” I can do with something akin to DAEMON tools or the like which I lack the wisdom and foresight to accomplish on my own. I do have the original disks, but I may need instructions for anything complicated (such as right-clicking).

All advice appreciated. Advanced thanks, and I’m looking forward to applying my curse of accidentally breaking things to such a wonderful and well conceived project.
