I do believe other countries have tornadoes. But usually they do not seem as extreme as in the US. Note usually.

From wikipedia:
SolinxTornadoes have been observed on every continent except Antarctica; however, most of the world's tornadoes occur in the United States.[4] Other areas which commonly experience tornadoes include New Zealand, western and southeastern Australia, south-central Canada, northwestern and central Europe, Italy, south-central and eastern Asia, east-central South America, and Southern Africa.[5]

the reason theres so many tornadoes in the US (iirc) is because you have a combination of a desert and a jetstream in the one place riseing hot air, sinking cold air and the jetstream as a catalyst, makes the worse. I might be wrong there, it's been a while since I watched that docco.
to my knowledge we don't have any real tornados. we have a few mini ones which don't tend to do much damage (comparatively) they only rip the roofs of a few houses, and I don't think I've ever heard of a death from one. and we get dust devils, but never a full sized tornado.
that said we have cyclones, really fucking big ones, and usually atleast one every couple of years.

Actually, cyclones, typhoons, and huricanes are all the same thing.
Tornados are different.
Partially correct, but let me elaborate:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Tropical Storm: An area of unstable weather, where air rotates, and sometimes a precursor to a Hurricane/Cyclone/Typhoon.
- Hurricane: A Tropical Storm in the Atlantic Ocean which has winds above 74 miles an hour. (64 knots)
- Cyclone: Different only by location, a Cyclone is called such when a hurricane forms over the Indian Ocean
- Typhoon: Different only by location, a Typhoon is called such when a hurricane forms over the Pacific Ocean
- Tornadoes: Localized, violently destructive, cylindrically-shaped/funnel-shaped column of air, which may or may not "Touch Down", which refers to the the lowest part contacting the ground. Tornadoes are formed by "Super cells" - extremely strong, spinning storms. The tornado is actually invisible/partially transparent, with no/minimal clouds under most conditions. The color is predominately from debris collected during the strongest phases of the instability.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope that helps. I wrote that myself, so I'm not risking any Copyright Infringement junk lol.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, sandstorms are simply when high winds pull up a large amount of loose topsoil into the air.
Dust devils are essentially the same, but include a small amount of airflow in opposite directions, causing the sand to spin in the air.
People thought that god was angry, and was sending down devils made of sand to punish them. Maybe they should just have treated their land better?

and we get more cyclones from the pasific then the indian ocian.
cyclones die very quickly when they come inland (respective to size and strength), tornados can survive both in and out of water.
dust devils or willy willy's are the same thing as a tornado but on a much smaller scale
never bothered reading about what a hurricane is but it's probebly very similar to a cyclone
cyclones are a hell of a lot larger then tornados and do far more wide spread damage, both directly because of the wind and because of the rain. though tornado's do more concentrated damage. (largest cyclone I can think of took up half of the north east coast of australia, and was a few years ago. It practically destroyed the lively hood of every farmer in northen queensland, had severe effects on our economy, and we're only recovering from it in the last 6-12 months)
