I Got REALLY bored of C&C3 just about 2 weeks after playing it. I almost finished the Nod campain and was in the middle of the GDI campain. I played a few skirmishes also. Then I just got really bored. I spent more time on forums waiting for it to come out then playing it. I think I'm just getting tired of RTS games. I think im gonna start playing some RPG games like Oblivion. Is that a good game?

Play it online and you won´t get bored, beating the same tactics every time against an AI is not a challange ;)

Oblivion is a great game, if you want to have a go at RPG I really recommend that game. Got lots of good mods too :p
If people were more constructive with their comments, then this place would be more enjoyable

I felt the exact same way as you after the first couple weeks. The game seemed so boring.

Then, as GM said, I went online, and it got way more fun. You learn things from people who beat you that you use on the next person you play. Trust me, 97% of what has me hooked on CNC3 is online.

Plus there are so many little tricks...like I didn't know that Annihilator Tripods can use a EMP ability at close range, or that they could walk over enemy vehicles.

Trust me, online is so much more fun than skirmish. It's really worth it. And mods and minimods will come out soon, as soon as they release the tools, so don't give up.

Oblivion is very dissapointing, and it isnt really an rpg. You should avoid it, and instead pick Troika's Vampire: Bloodlines. Thats probably the best of the newer rpgs.

Vampire: Bloodlines is older than Oblivion... I liked both, though Oblivion is superior by far to my personal opinion.

C&C3 hasn't bored me yet. I haven't had a lot of time so I'm not done with the campaigns yet. I suggest you try it out online like the others have already posted.

I'm unsure what sexual things you mean. There are no sexual references in the game.

Now if you're talking about Vampire Bloodlines, that'd be a different story..

So I'm unsure what you mean. But glad to hear you are enjoying Oblivion, it is a great game in my opinion. *reminds self to continue it sometime*

On the back of Oblivion (PC Version) it says rated M for:

Blood and Gore
Language
Sexual Themes
Use of Alcohol
Violence

At the back of my case it says 16+ and an icon for violence. I think what you see there is a standard icon that could include any of the five things mentioned. There are no sexual references in Oblivion. I would certainly be less positive about it if it had them.

Do you lvie in the USA? I think that 16+ is a diffrent country icon. Or you bought it on ebay. This is the Icon:

It was on the Oblivion site.

I live in Europe but it's the same game.

http://www.pegi.info/en/index/

I have that icon with the fist and a 16+ icon. Apparently this game was rated by pegi (I followed the link on the back of the case).

However I doubt that your version is any different from mine. I live in the Netherlands, games are not censored. Take it from me and anyone else that there are no sexual references in the game. I would like it less if it did.

I can't seem to think of why there would be 'use of alcohol' that would be necessary to rate in a game like Oblivion...so I think those are the possible categories for ratings.

And oh, I live in the US too.

Ok. I think I might get it then because that part was concering me. Thanks for the help.

*Edit* Oh and I think I remember Alcohol in the game when I played it at my friends house. But I can't be sertant

Bored of it already. Zoo Tycoon 2 has me more hooked then CnC3... >_>
Getting CnC3 online is fucking difficult on my end so without that part it's less addictive in the first place..

Bah, Oblivion is garbage to Fallout. Fallout is superior! (and now owned by Bethsoft too, lol) [/sarcasm]

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

the list of things it has in it are custom to each game, the alcohol referance is anything to do with drinking alcohol, that includes people drinking it at a bar, wine bottles, bear mugs etc in use, anything that resembles use of alcohol.

sexual themes is everything from flirtation up, tings like pationate kisses, moving the body in certain ways etc, pretty much anything that could have a sexual conotation.

this is all of the top of my head so don't quote me on it

Yes but Oblivion does not have any of those sexual references that I recall. There is alcohol that you can drink if you really want (not obligatory at all) but I personally don't bother with it as it interferes with your fighting and walking skills. You just have the option to go into a random bar and buy some.

I'm not bored of C&C3 personally.

i can explain the sexual references in Oblivion. In the actual game that you can play, there is none, but in the skins of the files, there is a nude woman. Even though you cant use it without modding the content of the game, ESRP (the US rating system) re-rated the game after it came out. This explains why Blaat's says there is not sexual content because she bought it before the content was discovered while pipinowns bought it after the re-rating.

I'm not bored with CNC3 skirimish manily because i cycle games, not just play one. i switch between CNC3, the bfme series, starcraft, the kotor series, EaW, Battlefront, plus the 360 stuff.

I've never seen that custom skin you're speaking of but you probably would need a mod to enable it, it is not in the normal story. My character is a woman and you can see basic normal standard underwear if you take off the armor, and the same for the male I'd guess. At any rate I wouldn't worry about it and just buy the game if you think you'll like it. I've been playing it for hours and still not finished, it's quite a big world and a lot to do :).

@ second part of your post
I do the same thing often too. Lately though I don't have much time so all I play is C&C3 . When I have holidays though I'll probably switch again between games just like you. Cool that you play the KOTOR series and StarCraft too :cool2:. I also have EaW and BFME, not played them a lot yet but they are not bad.
