I got all the C&C Tiberian Dawn tunes in my personal RA2 mod.
I'm rather fond of the Generals soundtrack too.

A good soundtrack is one which you don't notice (except at a subconcious), it blends seamlessly with everything else going on in your head while you play.

The Generals soundtrack is great. I have it on one of my MP3 cd's. I'll probably be finding some WW2 Era music to run in my mod.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Where is it? Can you hear it?

It's not offten you find a mod with music, even though it's so important. It seems that people just don't think about it.

Many people use the excuse that it's too big to download. This can be overcome with seperate downloads or compressd music. As it's music and not sounds it does not have to be 3D/stero, this saves some file space.

Music is needed for any single-player mod to set the mood. In mult-player it can be used at the start and end to set a conflict begining mood and an end of war victory/fail.

Our mod (In The Shadows) have planned and are in the process of creating custom music for our game. Seeing as though we're a horror mod, music will be essential to setting the mood of diff. locations and events. Some songs may be as simple as a piano solo that sounds dark and dreary, with more uptempo music for action scenes... It's not too high on our priority list atm, but it's definately gonna get done :)

I always listen to music. I mod the music in games because usually its the most neglected part of a game, and it either doesn't fit the mood, or is more of a boring ambiance. Some games (RA2, TS, C&C, Starcraft, Warcraft,) have ace music and I play them just to hear it. Or I just export it.

I found the USA music ok, reminded me of Black Halk Down in places. The China and GLA was a bit sad and lonely :)
