One of the things people might or might not know of is that one of the earlier ideas in YR was to create Kinetic Weapons that didn't damage as normally, but would cause tanks and the like to be totally flipped over with a single hit.

Kinetics is a fairly easy issue, but sometimes it can stump some people (espically when first using it).

Firstly find the unit / create a new one that will be your Mind over Matter Nightmare.
[KTNK]
Primary=KTNKGUN
Pushy=Yes ; See Note 1
BuildLimit=1 ; See Note 2

Secondly Set the weapon like so.

[KTNKGUN]
Damage=300 ; This is important. The higher the damage, the more likely it will flip. 600 flips Apoc.
Speed=300 ; A matter of the mind
Range=6 ; Okay, Okay, so were not that great
Warhead=KTNKWH ; Important Part

Thirdly, Adding "Kineticness"

[KTNKWH]
DirectRocker=Yes

There you have it. A totally Kinetic weapon, that will utterly flip your target and make your enemy hate you even more :)

Note 1. Pushy=Yes means that a unit that uses DirectRocker Logic can move after it has fired. This was created so that the game would be fairer. It exists because of the Brute (He doesn't use DR Logic, but it remains commented out in his Tank Smash WH).

Note 2. The Build Limit makes the game fairer, otherwise you can flood the feild with Kinetic Tanks and thus make it impossible for the enemy to get you with Tanks.

That is all Folks

Cool so you finally found out how to make it flipping damage = enemy health... so what happens if you target a MCV or harvester?

Damage=300 ; This is important. The higher the damage, the more likely it will flip. 600 flips Apoc.

Harvesters and MCV's have more HP...

Well I remember making a rocker weapon and the affected unit simply ceased moving and couldn't fire back. The unit that had the rocker weapon would also no longer shoot until the affected unit was destroyed...

See Note 1. That is what Pushy does. It allows it too move again once it has fired

Is there a tag that denotes an unflippable unit? Or can this only be controlled through the strength?

I believe it is based on the units weight and not strength. I have such a unit in 'The Project' though its an infantry unit. No unit is unflippable.

I'm sure I have flipped a tank before. It was driving up a hill and I Weather Stormed that area. It took a direct hit and flipped, then it blew up.

I'm positive I did that!

Just do what I did.

Remove the ; infront of the pushy=yes tag, and then go find the WHs and remove them..

But it does unbalance the game, because a unit more or less can't fire accurately (if at all) while being attacked with DR logic..

Rich, you probably did flip it. For a laugh I made a n00b map whereby there were three 'evil middle' bases packed with hordes of every unit imaginable, and you had to fight your way through to reach your enemy. The Civilian Soviet base had like 50 Howitzers in it. I modded so the Spy could enter vehicles and take them over. So I built about 100 spies and took over half the Soviet vehicle compliment, then when I'd got them out of the way, I moved to the Civilian Allied base and plugged at them with my Howis. About 10 of their tanks got flipped from the barrage.
Also, Grand Cannons and that sorta explosion CAN (rarely) have this sort of effect.

You need one hell of a lot of firepower going at one spot right next to the unit to flip it. I love flipping my tanks. lol

Yes, but it does happen on rare occasions, and it's so funny to watch a group of enemy tanks fall before the might of a few modified Magnetrons :)

in Red Alert 2, by putting "Rocker=yes" on a warhead..it works like the flipping action..that is why the Grand Cannon and the Terror Drone have it in common..

True, but it doesn't achieve what DR does.

DR hits it really hard, while R just rocks is a little.
