I have updated the unit list, the changes are as follows...

All:
*Basic Infantry add
*Added MCVs
*Paradrop & level bomber planes added (used in superweapons)

US:
*B-29 with A-bomb added (superweapon)

UK:
*Matador replaced with Ram Kangaroo (proper APC instead of a truck, most Rams were converted to APCs or Ops & used by the Brits)
*Bishop replaced with Sexton (should have done this much sooner, the Sexton was the main Brit SPG after 1944 but because its Canadian I used the Bishop insted)

Fra:
*Anti-air unit removed (they didn’t have any mobile AA so they don’t get any. The one that was going to be used was hypothetical & added to at least give them something)

Sov:
*Mig-3 replaced with Yak-9 (Should have used the Yak in the first place)
*G-5 torpedo boat removed (did the same job as the Dekabrist, but not as well)

Ger:
*Me-109 replaced with Me-262 (should be obvious why I changed it)
*Hipper removed (same reason as the G-5, it's just a small Bismarck)

Ita/Jap:
*Many changes, not that any one will notice ;) (I left these two sides up to Rygar but now that he has gone I have done research into them my self & changed thing that I felt needed to be)

interesting.

I personally would have loved to see the unniversal carrier for the britts , but it's open topped and small (not good for YR ) ;) but a proper APC makes up for that :p
your still using the matador for artillery towing though right ?

and what happened to the ARL-44 in the french list ?

The universal carrier can only carry 3 men, the Ram on the other hand can transport 11

The matador still tows the 5.5' gun

The ARL-44 was typo, I fixed it now tho

are you going to give the french a mobile deployable AA gun to make up for their lack of flack (oooh I crack myself up).

http://www.secondegu...net/index2.html

this is a pretty good french site I go to , in this artillery section they have two lightweight french AA guns listed. since I have nothing better to do tonight , here we go :

Hotchkiss 25mm Modèle 1938
Posted Image

type: light anti-aircraft
calibre: 25mm
firing rate: 350 (cyclic) rounds/min
projectile weight: 0,29 kg
ceiling: 3000m
weight: 850kg
gun length: 1,5m
elevation: -5° to 80°
rotation: 360°
projectile velocity: 900m/s

there is also a heavier "modéle 1939" on a fixed mount. they were adopted by the army in 1938 (though were ready in 1932) , they had a good firing rate and were powerfull enough to destroy any low flying target.
Unfortunately ,Hotchkiss had only been able to deliver 1000 of these guns by the time the germans invaded, they then used the captured ones on the atlantic wall under the designations "2,5 cm Flak Hotchkiss 38" and "2,5 cm Flak Hotchkiss 39".

Schneider 37mm Modèle 1930
Posted Image

type: light anti-aircraft
calibre: 37mm
firing rate: 175 (cyclic) rounds/min
projectile weight: 0,55kg
ceiling: 3000m
weight: 1340kg
gun length: unknown
elevation: 0° to 80°
rotation: 360°
projectile velocity: 800m/s

only about 20 of these were ever provided to the french army at some point after the spanish civil war, it wasn't a popular gun because of its relatively poor performance and heavy weight which hampered deployment.
Roumania and the french navy also used some, the germans though didn't even bother to use the ones they captured.

there's also info on the heavy guns , namely the 75 mm Modèle 1936

Posted Image

type: heavy anti-aircraft
calibre: 75mm
firing rate: 25 rounds/min
projectile weight: 6,44kg
ceiling: 8000m
weight: 5300kg (transit) , 3800kg (deployed)
dimensions: total length = 6,95m ; width = 1,5m ; height unknown ; barrel length = 4,05m
elevation: -5° to 70°
rotation: 360°
projectile velocity: 700m/s

the model 1932 and 1936 75mm AA guns were direct descendants of an improvised design developped to counter aircraft during WW1. with improving plane performances a number of enhancements were made by Schneider such as adding a longer barrel. These guns were easily transported , had a descent firing rate (around 25 rounds per minute)and were considered to be quite efficient.
These and older 75mm AA guns were spread around the whole of France during 1940,captured ones were later used on the atlantic wall.

hope any of that can be useful to you ;)

They're on that same site

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

well yeah

just asking in case it was still needed.

would it be the LeO.451 bomber and MAS38 gun btw ?
for the transport plane the C445M "Goéland" seemed interesting (not on the site though).

ah ok , I didn't know until I read it just now that it was converted into a transport plane

EDIT : if you're giving several countries a unique transport plane, what about the AW.41 for the UK instead of the C-47 ?

I am also wondering why isnt the MARTIN B-26 Marauder in the game instead of the mitchell as the marauder carried more bombs etc...

it depends on the model.
For example if you compare the last variants of each to come out, the B26F and G carried the same amount of bombs as a B25J (4000 lb), but they had a lower flight ceiling and shorter range. They were just a little bit faster though (by about 5 or 10 mph).

anyhoo, in game it won't change much, besides I think the B25 is much more famous.

according to my research this is as follows :

Internal load of 5,200 lb. (2359 kg) up to 641st B-26B, after which rear bay was disused (eliminated in F, G) to give maximum load of 4,000 lb. (1814 kg.). Early versions could carry two torpedoes.

B-25A
3,000 kb (1361 kg) internally

B-25H
One 2,000 lb. (907 kg.) Torpedo
Or
3,200 lb. (1451 kg.) of bombs internally

B-25J
4,000 lb. (1814 kg.) of Bombs internally

I think that the B-26B should replace the mitchell because it will give players a better striking capability.

Also what about giving the Japanese the Kokusai Ku-7 transport glider so it can paradrop type 98 and type 2 light tanks ?
