Please dont moan at me if i have the, wrong board im new and didnt know were to post.
But i have a little question *very noobish of me*.
Do you need a program -sorry for bad spelling- to start modding?

You need some programs, you can find in the T3A website.There are also tutorials there.

To open the .big files, you need FinalBig

For INI editing (coding) you can use wordpad or notepad

Coding is the most basic and common element of modding. You can use it to change stats, add unused heroes etc

More advanced stuff:
To skin you need GIMP or Photoshop
To map you need Worldbuilder (comes with game)
To model you need Gmax or 3ds max (I think)

And yes, the main T3A site has plenty of tutorials to help you out, as well as these forums

By website you mean The 3rd Age? Answer - T3A hosts mods. You can see all the mods we host on these forums (click Battle for Middle-earth at the top and scroll down to the bottom)
