you can now only get 2 units of towerguards at one time, but they will be very powerful elite troops. pelagir spearmen take the role of towerguard only they cant get the upgrades

These are good, but I think you should make the tower guards' eyes smaller.

Could you put a White Tree emblem on the Tower Guards and Pelargir Spearmen. And give the regal spear of the tower guards back to them, because a sword is not very fitting.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Lol, the only weapon(s) ever mentioned for the 'Tower Guard' are Beregond's and Pippin's swords, as far as I remember.

Also, in Tolkien's world all the main human characters wield swords (Turin, Aragorn, Boromir, Theoden, the list goes on). Therefore, for an elite Gondorian unit, a sword is most suitable.

that would really make the pelagir spearmen pointless, and is there any evidence they used spears???

I didn't know that pelargir spearmen were elite, if I did I wouldn't complain .I thought the Guards of the Fountain Court (the ones with the great spears) were a more regal division of soldier, and the Citadel Guards were Denethor's personal guard with swords (and bow on occasion) and were different from the Fountain Guards.

But your models could always have a sword/spear toggle

You could do it like EA do their rohirrim in BFME2. 2 seperate models, 2 sets of animations switched based on the model state.

Looks really good Dindi! Keep it up! ;)

The old world will burn in the fires of industry! The forests will fall! A new order will rise...we will drive the machine of war with the sword and the spear and the iron fist of the Orc! We have only to remove those who oppose us...

Sorry, was that colours question directed at me? I don't think the Tower Guard colours look funny at all.

It justs looks colorful Dindi. If they stay that way... Which I hope. Just do like someone said, and make thier eyes smaller.

I like the sword Idea. So will we be able to have both Tower Guard Spearmen, and swordsmen?

finally another update.

first of all here is the new rohan axeman, they have poor armor but a good attack and good at taking out monsters such as trolls which kill most thins in one hit anyway.

Posted Image

the new rohan footmen, the backbone of any rohan infantry force, they can be upgraded wih spears to increase their attack.

Posted Image

new elven rangers. you will only be able to get them through the elven summon. they are better than the the rohan elves who where their orginally, they can handle themselves in clos comabt aswell.

Posted Image

a new cavarly horde for rohan is the outrider. the yare eguipped with longbows and are expert sshots. altough you can only have two hordes of these riders at a time as they are so experienced

Posted Image

finally the morgual orc. heavily armoured and armed these are the elite of mordor. but due to the fact they arent as common as other orcs you may only have 4 of each type at any one time. although 4 is enough to cause your enemy a lot of trouble.

Posted Image

soon another update with ingame shots including some of teh new powers and the ai who are now more aggressive

thanks dindi
