First off, let me congratulate on this amazing mod, which has helped breathe new life into a game I thought I had played to death! :xcahik_:

I seem to be experiencing 2 problems, however, which is probably due to my not having installed the files correctly:

1) The installation works fine, I can start the game no problem. When I am in any play mode however, the unit descriptions are only displayed with the text "MISSING" in the info window. The images of which ships the unit is good/weak against are displayed, but the descriptive text isn't there.

2) In single- or multi-player battle modes, I am unable to perform station upgrades or produce any kind of ships at the station, for that matter.

Can anyone help me out with these issues or tell me what I might have done wrong in the installation? I checked the forum, but no one else seems to have reported a problem like this.

Thanx a bunch, and keep up the excellent work!!!

:D

I think your best bet would to delete the mod and then redownload it, then I would go about by getting the Mod Launcher so you get all the files in there... Good luck!

Thank you. Let me try to answer these.

I've never heard of this one before, so all I can suggest is making sure that MasterTextFile_ENGLISH.dat is in the Data\Text folder for the mod. Actually.. going out on a limb here, but do you have a non-US/UK copy of the game and/or have it set to non-English settings? Because then it might be looking at the wrong file. In that case, you'll have to rename MasterTextFile_ENGLISH.dat to whatever language you're using. Of course, it'll still be in English...

2) In single- or multi-player battle modes, I am unable to perform station upgrades or produce any kind of ships at the station, for that matter.

For Skirmish? Yeah, I disabled it in the mini-mod because it wasn't working correctly. I meant to write that in the readme, but I wrote it about 2 hours before the release and simply forgot .

Hi there,

Well, for problem Nr. 1: Sorry, I should have mentioned that in my post... Your guess was right, I'm playing a German copy of the game, set to German in the language default.

I changed the name of the file to MasterTextFile_GERMAN, and now the game works properly and I get the unit descriptions displayed, although everything in the game is in English now and not just the descriptions.

For Problem 2: Yes, I meant Skirmish, but that's OK if it doesn't work properly. The new campaigns are that much more interesting to make up for it!

Thank you so much for your time and your help!! I'd write more, but I'm itchin' to get back to the game!

Yeah, sorry about the lack of language support. I'll see if I can get it translated in a later version if there is a demand; I just don't want to do it now since I'm changing things rather frequently. At the very least, I can cut and paste the new text entries onto the other language files.
