Put the hydrogen bombs at the end, not the tomohalk storm. You don't want the big destructive weapon in the middle with a not so amazing ending weapon. Other than that nice movie! :shiftee: :ninja:


I agree because this was my idea anyway. But it's mainly the fact that the Tomahawk Storm is the most boring superweapon in concept and execution... just a Scud Storm without the anthrax.

tomahawk storms been done many times so of course its not gonna be the last part of the video as its not impressive... how about at the end just before the explosion the video ends makeing peaple be like zomg i gotta download to see that weapon.

Or you could like right when the missle hits, make the screen go white, then end, without showing the aftermath. That way, instead of people possibly thinking that it really is just an ICBM as it shows on the side, they will think it's something better seeing as the whole screen turned white.

its just a first draft. I wanted too see how it would turn out. A "finished" version needs to include all 8 generals. and will have alot more work on timing things up to the music etc.


I also need to do some ini edits to force it to draw all particle fx all the time, and a few other tweeks, like removing the visible countdown timers.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

how do you mean " force it to draw all particle fx all the time"?

ZeroHour automaticly scales back particle effects if the frame rate drops. With Fraps capturing the framerate drops... so some of the fx, such as missile trails and weapon fx don't show up.

well your PC should be able to handle that, it is powerful, so it shouldnt drop the FPS. even with FRAPS running

well your PC should be able to handle that, it is powerful, so it shouldnt drop the FPS. even with FRAPS running


my PC is an absolute monster and Fraps still drops the game speen drasticly. I even reduced the resolution and recorded in half-size, and it still slows it down. The speed isn't an issue, as I can speed it back up while making a video, but it still effects how the game counts particles. Its silly though, the particle fx don't phaze my system at all, no matter how high I turn up the game, so theres no reason to drop them.

CoolVid Pend and I like the song^^ I got to extract it^^ and convert the .flv to wma but that's no problem I could let the vid in flv but the player I got for that is not to good still very good vid , maybe I can catch you for a pvp so you can get some scence different from just killing Cyber^^

i just want to say something, dont film battles while your actualyy playing the match, what you do is do the whole match and do it as if you were going to film certain parts, then at the end save the replay.

then once thats done fast foward to the parts u had the good battles in, then alt tab out the game start fraps or what ever u use (snagit/fraps) then start the battle, this will reduce the lag in the match, as everything been shown is already preset and there is no need to do millions of calculations everytime u move the coursour because it is already been done. also u dont get the lag from the actualy game aswell because the ai is not there also the generals replay saver is also off so thats 2 huge lag reducers.

yes it is a great idea, the only setback is that you cant rewind, so if you miss a shot you might have to watch 30 mins of replay again., which is why doing it on lan with a friend, where you get no AI lag, is the best option. that way you can actually set up shots to make them look professional. and if that fails you can watch the replay of that lan :p
