Really nice. That machine shop says to me you should do a It Came From Tiberian Dawn. Sure not the same B-Movie effect but it would still rock.

Hello, what's this? RA1 on a better engine and even better tech structures. I like.

The Machine shop is very, very stylish. Does it have some fancy animations?

Cheers folks.
I think Tib Dawn is covered by Return of the Dawn, just seemed a good thing to base it on :p

Alas it doesn't really do anything but get captured, so it's lacking animations. Might animate the tiny fans on the roof, but they're barely visible.

These aren't Tech buildings, but seen as though the Prison/Tech Centre is in this thread:

Some of them are animated, some of them aren't.

Obviously the Oil Pump is animated because it pumps oil using the hammerhead thing, the Command Centres aren't animated because there's nothing to animate.

And none of these have buildups because they're not designed to be bought/sold, they'd be on the map at start up.

Well I seem to remember there being one belonging to the Allies at some stage, but there's only graphics for a Soviet version (Hammer and Sickle on the roof). But knowing Westwood they probably just used it anyway :p

It just seems generally tidier, leaves room for a possible game mode involving them aswell.

Edit: Church is now 4x3 instead of 3x2, it looked a bit silly next to 2x2 houses.

Yep, the only new stuff really is the capturable civilian buildings.

If you get Release 2.5 from here all the units are set out already.

It won't be in R3.
In theory the campaign could be added as a module later by dropping maps, etc into the RA2 directory.
It's up to someone else to make it though, I'm not up to much with maps and I get lost in all the triggers stuff. I'm just trying to support anyone potentially doing it as much as possible.

Everything to do with the factions is done except for building damage frames and a few things that need fixing with the Soviet sidebar. I've dropped the idea I was playing around with of having a Giant Ant faction though.

lol oh yeah i forgot about your "play around" with the Giant Ant faction. I think that'll probably be good as an optional extra too more than part of the whole mod. But its up to you ;)

But there must be someone out there to help with a Single Player campaign... if i wasn't so confused with the triggers etc. too i'd give it a shot! :p

I've had a few of people ask about mapping since R2.5 was released and one has mentioned remaking the campaign. They weren't registered though so I couldn't contact them about support from my end (2.5 isn't really mapping friendly).

Ants might make it, I've no idea how to balance them though and terrain/damage frames are a higher priority.
