They also seem to have taken inspiration from a few other bands this time. the intro song, "In the presence of enemies pt1", really sounds Iron Maiden-like, and the song "prophets of War" is so Muse that one might wonder if they've just asked them to come over and help out with the song.
to sum it up, if Octavarium was a little too happy compared to the normal style that Dream Theater does, they've balanced the scales again with this heavier album.

Hostile: true, their first Mike Portnoy album is the one that has gone down in history as their most popular, but they've certainly still got alot to contribute with through their music. if one like dream theater theres no reason not to buy this album

I have to say In the Presence of Enemies pt1 is my favorite song.
