definatly, its really fun as mordor, when you get 4+ different types of orcs ranging rom 50(goblins) health to 400(black orcs) you can either attack with them all or send all the gobbies to fort

Yea, cool beans. But... comment. I have been playing around with the gameplay style, and I love it. But... problem involving sight range. A single unit has little vision range, and even with lots of units bunched together, still little vision range. Suposed to be like that?

Im very glad that this thing has only gotten positive replies It seems that this is the thing that makes LA different from other mods.

Edit: Nice that T3A gets new members from IP Propably because SEE, LA and WOTE are/were all looking for mapper there

so that's how the quote function works :D

That's one thing I liked about bfme1, that the hordes were small so you could buy a wide range of units and not have to limit yourself with a lack of command points, which seems to be predominant in bfme2 so there comes the whole-"1-unit-rush-1-unit-game" gameplay.
I wanted to join another site because I've been in IP a while and I wanted to start learning about what other sites do, and also modding seemed a mystery to me and I wanted to learn how to do it.

EDIT: lol I see IP members post in tandem :p

Oh, hey Puppet. You found my hiding place. :D

That reminds me. In BFME 1, you could like combind 2 hoards. Gives me idea for the mod... Would it be a good idea to be able to make like custom hoads? Like you have lots of single units. You click on one, and you click on another unit, and the two form a hoard, and you can keep adding units to one, and disban that hoard back into individual units if you want to redo it. Would be very strategic and good for keeping track of units.

Is there a way to combine vision ranges then? For example, the vision ranges of 3 gondor fighter soldiers would be 3 x the normal vision range? So that if you had an army of say, 50, it would reveal a lot of the shroud whereas only partial if so 5.
Found you Pasidon. My turn to hide :D

Yes I will make it so that single soldier can see decent amount of map, about the area of horde vision.
@Pasidon, I have been thinking that also and I would very much like to do that at some point so I have to investigate it.

It would emphasise micro-management in a game, like company of heroes.
And it means that units would not hang back seeing there comrades get killed in front of them.

yeah, that would be awesome. rj rotwk already does plain combo hordes, but this is taking it a step further :D

I like the idea, but 1 question, what about the shield wall formations and porcupine, do you plan to keep them in the game somehow? or simply remove them?

they will be removed. in their place, there will be an upgrade u can give to any of ur basic soldiers, archers, or cav turning them into captains. captains have two abilities operating on the same timer which grant bonuses for some things while taking away other, acting much as formations do now. they effects will be in a radius around them
