Here's a brief summary of my sweet trip:
-spent all day saturday driving to virginia where we stayed
-sunday, monday, and tuesday we spent hiking a mountain trail... very heavy packs, 2nd day was all uphill to the top of a mountain, 3rd day was glorious downhill all the way
-wednesday we went rock climbing, morning was small stuff, afternoon we climbed this thing called the "via ferrata" which is basically a 300ft tall rock face/fin with metal rungs bolted into the face that you climb up on. It's like climbing a ladder at 300ft... only slightly scary Worst part was when I had to go around a corner and put my feet on a ledge I couldn't see with a stright fall of (you guessed it) 300 ft. I was freaking out like you wouldn't believe
-thursday we went caving and I loved it. There were some tight parts and some squeezes but it was really cool (and very very very muddy).
-friday we went white water rafting in west virginia and it was also really neat. That night we had a pizza party (first pizza in a full week!!!) and then stayed in a hotel.
A few random things:
-I found out that staying in the wilderness isn't exactly set up for bathrooms or toilettes... so we had to go in a "poo tent" which was basically a tent with a hole in the bottom and a chair that you sit on. Very ingenious actually, though it stank. Also there seem to be no showers in the wilderness, though some streams work rather well.
-This was a church trip and I'd definatly say that the best part of the trip was the fellowship with friends. I had about 7 of my best friends and leaders going and not only did we have a blast during the activities but the time spent around the campfire talking and doing devotionals was some of the best time I've ever had.
-My favorite activity was the caving, my least favorite was the climbing (I don't like hights, though I am not especially afraid of them, just bothers me being up there).
Here are some pics:

So, yeah, awesome trip, I'm still really tired from it all but I'm back and hopefully will be able to start modding some more soon.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
