SW: Force Of Corruption modding/map editing

Hey guys (and gals),
I was just wandering if i could have some help from anyone who is experienced at either modding Star Wars Empire At War or The expansion Forces Of Corruption. Ive been trying to fiddle with the settings, and I'm trying to get a higher population cap. Ive done it for the space and land battles which is fine, but now I'm stuck on trying to alter the Galactic Conquest Prop cap, i thought it rather weird when you have lots of planets but a pop cap of 300. I know some people would say it unbalances the game etc. but i merely want to know how so i can experiment. I'm not sure if you have to edit an algorithm for generating your pop cap as its normally random, like 367 instead of a rounded number, and i think i read somewhere you have to edit the planets.xml file to actually change it by giving the planet a higher cap or something.

The Second problem is with the Forces of Corruption map editor, I'm trying to create a huuuuuuge space skirmish map, and it was going well, until all of a sudden the ships cannot move outside a box, its not visible, but i can move any ships outside of a square radius, although it does include my space station and the enemies, I've tried increasing the size of the map to see if this box would, but it hasn't, and moving the objects in isn't a viable option, as the area would be decreased. I'm not sure, but is there like a certain size the maps can be at a maximum? I had mine set to 300000 on height and width, but i then increased it to 50000 to see if there were any effects. I know this map seem large, but I'm going for the "Squash the rebellion on a massive scale look"

any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! :p

I couldn't find the answer of the first question... and regarding the map editor, I've barely used that :(.
