You can read that in the Hobbit ;). And yes Boromir was dead, but he was alive during The War of the Ring (even if it was for a short period). The dwarves Med posted were already dead for several years during the war, and that's the big difference.

i am gonna read the hobbit, already got the book :good: :good:
sry for ot

Mabye Men of Dale calvary is good riding unit! :good: Awsome to see Dwarves with that!! And one of the Dwarven heroes should be able to mount a wagon :good:  And stuff.

Nope, sorry, no more Men of Dale for Dwarves... I don't want to make them another Men faction ;)

No... Please no riding Dwarves.
Gimli said in the Movie, that Dwarves are no Knights, so I think the Battle Wagon should be the only Kavallerie they have. That is the special thing about Dwarves:
They don't have any Knights, like the other races. If things like that will be changed they would get more and more similar to other races...
Nice idea (saw that already in many mods), but I don't like it, because it doesn't match with the Dwarves Tolkien made...

If you don't know Mercy Dwarves rode ponies in the hobbit, the entire 14, how can you say it doesn't fit?

It would fit, but I still don't like it... it would certainly be a cool unit, but it would take away some uniqueness from dwarves in my opinion.

Build me an army worthy of Mordor!

ok... In the Hobbit they use Ponys, that's right, but even there they don't like to ride.
There is still the other reason, that they would be too similar to the other races. Not all races need Knights.
In BfmE 1 Mordor had no cavalry, but they were still great. Rohan had hardly no Infantry. But it was a great game, because all the races were different.

Well I agree about the point that factions should be diverse, so maybe just give one of the dwarf heroes a power to mount a pony, that way its still accurate to lore and doesn't make dwarven cavalry for the entire faction.

but i dont like ponies these things that carry the demolisher would be better

the men of dale could have a bow / sword toggle, just like Rangers.
but they were far better archers than swordsmen so you should give them a weak melee attack

About the air units: I was thinking and I don't think that the eagles fit very well in the dwarven faction. I mean, the eagles just helped Thorin, but they didn't had a "friendship" or "alliance" with the dwarves as most probably (but not mentioned) they had with the elves. Why not giving the dwarves some crows? In the hobbit is mentioned that they had a strong friendship and respect with the crows (I don't know if is really crows, the translation to portugese really f*****d up with the story) that lived in the Lonely montain. They used them to send messages and as scouts, and I gess that a big number of them could inflict a lot of damage in units.

Also, concerning heroes, Dwalin, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur where still alive (I gess). This guys could help the dwarves a bit. Also there's Thorin III Stonehelm.

Hey I found a little bug in SEE, sorry if this was already fixed but it seems when I use a demolisher the damage that it does happens when the ram is leaving the building or whatever. Shouldn't it do damage right when it hits the building?

Yeah, I presume you mean this is in Beta 4.5? In that case it's just bad timing for the damage. We'll fix it for Beta V =)
