We can do double heroes for Arnor and the other factions seeing as they are far apart in time.

True, true. It just makes them feel a little less unique, is all. Although, I'm all for seeing a revamped Glorfindel on either Arnor or Rivendell.

I forgot to ask, any plans for Earnur to return to Arnor?

Just imagine that Gandalf doesn't have the Ring of Fire yet, or that Círdan's only lending it or whatever. I don't think it's important enough to mean that Círdan is weaker.

Don't let mike or AA hear you say such things ;)

The ring was, as far as it as known, meant exclusively to kindle will in the hearts of others. A translation to the game would mean leadership. And as Cirdan's leadership is already lacking, there is no need, really, to take powers away from him. If anything, he should be given a slightly faster attack speed.

The only loop in this that I can see is that if we use Cirdan while he had the ring then what would happen when a player uses summon the istari? That would make two rings of fire!!!

Just imagine Saruman gave Urukhai Shotguns and Jesus came to Gondor aid instead of Gandalf.

Wait a second...

I can work for EA

K srs suggestion now. I think ONE hero from Arnor should be able to mount.

Glorfindel fits the slot fine, just needs the button back on the fortress's commandset.

They could all ride. The question is who would ride. Glorfindel is the ONLY hero who fits that slot. End of discussion.

Jesus did save Gondor. Nobody underst- ah, never mind.

Here's what I think should be the Arnor hero group, in order of power.

Círdan
Powerful mage hero with lightning and storm abilities, only recruitable at fortresses with Elven Allegience purchased

Arvedui (being the last king of Arnor I'd personally put him stronger than Arveleg)
Great leader hero with several strong powers

Glorfindel
Arnor's only mountable hero, has more or less same powers as in the Elven faction, only recruitable at fortresses with Elven Allegience purchased

Arveleg
Great leader/mélée hero with awesome lvl.10 power

Carthaen
Ranger hero with great speed and rate of fire

That other king guy who's really cheap
Decent early game leader hero

I'm pretty sure you're referring to Argeleb?

Also, no love for Earnur? I can't think any other current Hero that would have walked into the Minas Morgul taunting the Witch King.

I'm in favour of Earnur too but it means that Arnor now has at least 4 kings, which can all be in place at once. And he's not very unique. I think that if he was revamped he'd be a great hero, although since he was from Gondor I'd make him their one hero recruitable in the Inn.

I think Eaurnar should be in the inns, thats assuming you can call aid from gondor, im not sure if you can though.

Yeah, true, Earnur doesn't have to be recruitable from the Fortress. Also, 4 kings is a good point. Maybe some thought should be put into dropping one of them and implementing them into a Power for Arnor. As in, summoning Earnur for example with some Arnor infantry or something of that nature.

THIS is how the heroes should go:

Glorfindel: Greatest warrior hero of Arnor and the only one that can mount. He should cost about 3500.
Cirdan: 2nd Best warrior hero for Arnor and the best magic one. He should cost about 3000.
Argeleb I: Good melee late-game hero with an uber lvl 10 power. He should cost around 2500
Arveleg I: Midgame hero of Arnor, with respectable leadership, stats and powers. He should cost around 2000.
Arvedui: Melee early-game hero for Arnor with leadership that requires a low level. He should cost around 1500
Carthaen: Ranger hero for Arnor, with powers that focus on stealth and archery. He should cost about 1300.

The reason why, with the kings, it goes down in power the further down the line that you go is because the Elvish and Maiar blood in the line keeps decreasing, as does the age that the kings live to, excluding early endings. It can therefore be inferred that the kings are becoming less powerful over time.

Hmm... I guess. But it doesn't work like that. It's not like that the amount of Elf/Maiar blood determines what kind of individual you are. I think that as the last King of Arnor and ruler of Fornost Arvedui should be the strongest human hero for Arnor, making him suitably late game. And I'd make Carthaen more of a late game ranger. At the moment all the Ranger heroes are pretty early-game, there's no excuse for it.
And Círdan, being far older, more skilled and more versed in Elven Lore, would be more expensive and much stronger. I'd price him at around 5000, and focus his powers around water and storms. Here's what I'd do for his powers...
And by the way, I'd make Círdan the most expensive Elven Inn hero for the WotR factions. He remained in Middle-Earth until way into the Fourth Age, and continued to have a fairly active part in its history. You should be able to summon his aid, at a suitably great price. He should be one of the main reasons you would want to get an Elven alliance from the Inn. By the way, Elladan and Elrohir should be in there too, along with maybe Haldir or Idrial.

Círdan
Recruit the Shipwright and Lord of the Grey Havens

Lvl. 1: Lord of Mithlond (passive; nearby units gain +50% vision and +50% armor)

Lvl. 2: Lightning Bolt (a lightning attack that does great damage against monsters and buildings)

Lvl. 4: Storm Ward (nearby units temporarily gain +150% armor and archers temporarily do Ice damage)

Lvl. 7: Loudwater Fury (releases a flood over a medium sized area that does great damage to cavalry)

Lvl. 10: Spirit of the Tempest (Círdan temporarily gains a large damage radius like Galadriel and an increase to speed, damage and armor; causes it to rain over the map for a short while; long recharge time)

Yes, but with such a large difference between generations... anyways, you have not given a reason as to why Arvedui would be more powerful than Argeleb. As for the Cirdan matter, Cirdan was slightly less powerful than Elrond, who was also slightly more powerful than Glorfindel. Glorfindel saw the light, however, which would likely make him more powerful than Cirdan. They're about equal in swords, though, and 5000 is a bit much for a hero lest they're going to have meta damage, good powers and around 5k hp.

If someone has to replace Elrond as the super hero, I would agree that Cirdan is the best candidate.

If it were me:

Arvedui, Heir of Isildur.
-Starts at Rank Five (was a veteran of the wars against Angmar). Wields longsword and shield (based off Boromir's model).
Rank One:
-The Fated. Passive; Arvedui is resistant against enemy-knockback and has a great durability to monster and hero damage (Troll-killer).
Rank One:
-Mount/Dismount.
Rank One:
-King of Arthedain. Leadership - 150%+ attack output and 15%+ attack rate to friendly units.
Rank Five:
-Shards of Narsil. Toggle-thing; causes fear in enemy units and temporarily increases friendly unit experience-gain-rate.
Rank Eight:
-Friends From the North. Summons a few Snow-Men of Forochel - anti-structure infantry wielding picks and axes.

Aranarth, Son of Arvedui.
-Starts at Rank Three. Toggles from bow to spear.
Rank One:
-Son of the King. Aranarth gets an 85% increase in attack output and 15% increase in defence values when near Arvedui.
Rank One:
-Toggle Bow/Spear. Toggles from Dunedain longbow to tall spear.
Rank Three:
-Chieftain of the Dunedain. Passive leadership - 20% increase to friendly unit vision and attack range, stealths nearby friendlies?
Rank Six:
-Arrow Flurry. Triples Aranarth's attack rate while using bow.

---

That's all I've got so far. Will update with Glorfindel and Earnur later.
