we are planning on doing a complete overhaul of angmar, so not a whole lot of it will be staying as is. im not quite sure when we are going to do it, but i expect it at least after the elves are finished, so, not this coming release.

Somewhere after Angmar, and during the whole 'Rohan, Arnor, Dwarves' phase :p

Well, you guys take your time. I'm seriously in love with this mod. I was feeling like it was going to come to a crashing halt a few months ago, but I understood why, and I would've been willing to make due with an incomplete mod. (Because its still more epic then the original version and 50x more epic than any other mod out there.)

Anyways, keep up the great work. :D I'm looking forward to completed rehashed Angmar and Arnor faction wars! ~Thumbs up~

'The Twilight of Man is nigh, and coming ever closer. The days have shortened into cold, forlorn darkness and sunrise to sundown is a bitter struggle for survival. But do not think for a moment that we shall not fight. We shall not go quietly into the dusk. We shall not throw down arms and flee, or surrender. We will go on, we will not falter. And even should we die, we shall make an end that will be remembered for thousands of years. For beautiful Arnor that is, for glorious Númenor that was! We are the Dúnedain, we are the Men of the North, and our foes will remember our steel!'

I would like to hear what all you guys have planned for Angmar though. And for Arnor too, but for now, pretty much, I'm more into Angmar. The Witch-King of Angmar (Angmar version, not Mordor) is just brutally awesome to me for some reason.

I also really like the storymode with Angmar. Are you guys planning to add the canon storymodes back? Or not?

Campaigns come later. Ideas from various users (myself, dojob, etc) have been posted earlier in the topic. Like, two or three pages ago :crazed:

So here is a "tech tree" that could work for Angmar, using decisions in the past posts, and some of my ideas...
Orc Pit Anybody have something more creative :p
-Orc Warriors: Orc infantry armed with swords/axes and kite shields.
-Orc Archers: Orc infantry armed with bows.
-Troll of Angmar: A single lightly armoured Troll unit that comes wielding a mattock. No mutated attack sheep or giant green men, but real Trolls :p

Rhudaur Hut
-Rhudaur Hillmen: Light Rhudaur infantry armed with spears, and the ability to toggle to axes/swords.
-Rhudaur Hunters: Light Rhudaur infantry armed with bows.

Wolf Den
-Wolf Brood: Like the Dire Wolves already in the game, but with a better skin.
-Werewolf: Not the stupid giant loin-cloth blue thing, but a hunched over wolf like creature, like a giant, furry, and clawed Gollum in the game.

Temple
-Barrow Wright: Either single unit or in battalions of three that have ancestral armour and swords from the kings of Arnor.
-Vampire: Just like in AA's description.
-Sorcerer: If you must, but Tolkein will be rolling in his grave, again.

Armoury I can't remember what it was called ;)
-Stone Thrower: Same old unit, but with better looking Trolls.

How is that?

I would like to have some type of Orc Champion or Rhudaur Champion that would be elite single units with special abilities, it would give Angmar something unique.

Hmm... Good but add Black numenor captain and Dark Rangers (if improve them, they would go elite)
If Blakc Numenorians have Cp limits I think they do what they should do. Elite units & captains, not main strength of Angmar army

Maybe only one troll to stone thrower?

Orc pit could be Breeding pit

If change Rhudaur huts name to Hall of the Kings men and Put my numenorian suggestions there it would work. IMO hut isn't a good name for recuiting building.

The name of armory was Dark Iron Forge.
Orc warriors could be Angmar orcs And archers Angmar archers

Otherwise like that list :p

I'd say no to Dark Rangers. And it should be Wolf Pack, brood sounds to reptilian to me.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Breeding Pit/Gundabad Chambers/Gundabad Pit
Lvl1:
-Gundabad Chieftain/Champion: Thrall master, gets gundabad orcs, gundabad archers, and wolf riders

Lvl2:
-Gundabad Guards (could probably use a better name): Upgradable, decent spearmen that are slow

Lvl3:
-Angmar Trolls (Bigger and better than before, are very tough/armored, and come in 3s): Armed with the same pike/hammers as hill-trolls and are good vs almost all units, but extremely good vs cavalry and do knockback to them.

Hall of the King's Men
Lvl1:
-Rhudaur Brigands: Light infantry armed with spears that can only get banners but move quickly

-Rhudaur Hunters: Light Rhudaur infantry that can toggle between bows and axes and can be upgraded

Lvl2:
-Banner Carriers

Lvl3:
-Black Numenorean(s)/Rhudaur Chieftains/Evil Dunedain; elite human infantry that come in small numbers (maybe ones) and give leadership. Weapons would either be swords or bows.

Wolf Den
Lvl1:
-Wolf Pack: Like the Dire Wolves already in the game, but with a better skin.

Lvl2:
-That upgrade that gives wolves spiky collars

Lvl3:
-Werewolf: Like a troll, but faster and a weaker, maybe gets a howl ability

Temple of Twilight
Lvl1:
-Sorcerer

Lvl2:
-Vampires (fast flying units that have quick attacks and give debuffs to enemies. If stealth becomes more important, then perhaps you could give them stealth detection)

Lvl3:
-Upgrade that lets you put wight creeps on ur buildings

*Sorcerer ability upgrades remain at their current levels

Dark Iron Forge
-Stone Thrower: Same old unit, but with better looking Trolls.

Please please no Black Numenorians. They did not exist in anywhere enough numbers and they all lived in Umbar and Mordor.

It does make a difference! That is like saying "Hey lets give Mordor dragons!" Even though there were no known dragons at the time of the WotR and even if there was one left they would be living really far from Mordor. With that logic we could give Orcs to Gondor.

I say we go with Dojob's list, but change the Black Numenorians to Rhudaur Chieftains, since there were no Black Numenorians in Angmar.
