Looks nice, but I wouldn't have said green and rusty brown go that well together. Maybe a red fx would work better? Or an evil grey mist?

And I hope that ice-cream scoop gets replaced with a proper catapult in future.

Hehe well the way I see it:

- The Fortress Keep has the same rusty dirty look in color, so we wouldn't change that color sceme...
- The Morgul Glow IS green, in the game and in the movies, so it wil stay green...
- The Catapults might look a bit strange though I agree, but they are fully functional, and messing with them would be rather pointless when we have so much more things that are way higher in priority. Maybe for much later, but I don't find them that bad though :)

But in most interpretations the morgul green is on an enamel white wall rather than a rusty one. Red and Green don't go overwell together.

Well, true. But that means redecorating the fortress and all it's expansions as well. No one seems to have cared about the glow on the citadel's rusty walls either. I would like something more fitting, sure. But hopefully the rusty colors won't bother anyone for now.

I find it kinda hard to believe that the Orcs of Mordor would care about something like that...
An Orc looking at their walls going "Oh my god...that REALLY needs a paint job...red does not go with green AT ALL! Bring forth the bucket of paint Sauron!"...besides it is'nt supposed to look pretty, it's supposed to look sickening, and evil. Am I wrong? :)

I guess the point is that Minas Morgul was built by Gondor from the same material as Minas Tirith. There was just no maintainance going for the past couple of hundred years, beautification-wise. Plus the Witchking's evil sorcerous presence.

So, the Dol Guldur walls wouldn't really fit Minas Morgul, but we are talking about a 'Mordor Garrisson' here (the fortress). I think a rusty look is just fine. :)

And also, the Glow is the most awesome wall upgrade out there, and the Dol Guldur Walls are the most awesome walls... even if they don't match perfectly, they're still at least as good as the other walls :)

Build me an army worthy of Mordor!

I must agree... I just LOVE them walls

But I'm deeply honoured by the prescence of mr Dain in SEE Forums

BTW: the walls are from Dol Guldur, not Minas Morgul. The glow is however... :shiftee:

Well if it's a purchasable upgrade (Some sort of negative effect on attacking units?) why not have a skin change too... I'm sure desaturating and brightening the middle bit to make it look Morgully (new word *patents*) to accompany the glow would be easy enough.

As far as i know, it all uses the same textures. So by copying one or two of the texture files and renaming and 'bleaching' them carefully, this should 'easily'* be possible. ;)

To make use of something we are going to take out.

I giant scorpion, mounted at that, is much more unrealistic and untolkien than much smaller (but still large) wild, natural scorpions, right?
