We have another update, featuring the elite of the Separatists army. Count Dooku, commander of the CIS, Darth Maul, apprentice to Darth Sidious, and General Grievous' formidable bodyguard, the MagnaGuards.

Dooku: Modeled by TiJil and skinned by Master Windu
Maul: Modeled by Rockon and skinned by Master Windu
Bodyguard: Modeled by Darkrider and skinned by Master Windu

Nice, defiently good quality on both models and skins. I like how certain elements have been captured, details really come through in a good way.

Mind if I ask how long it takes to make a texture like this? (I have some basic knowledge just curious).

Thanks everyone :p

GM: Which particular model are you talking about? They all take different amounts of time, ranging from huge amounts of time to pretty quick.

I understand that it varies from model to model, so it would be quite hard to give a general idea.

Lets take the MagnaGuard as an example.

The specular paint job on it is very impressive, it is not too much and not too little. It is just perfect, I would imagine getting it this good takes quite some time and patience. Same goes for the colours and how well they are blended, are you drawing with a tablet or mouse?

I have done some work in this area but it is not this impressive (yet). Anyway I won´t ask too many questions, I will sit back and enjoy the show :p

I draw with a simple mouse, i don't even know what a tablet is :p I've heard that they help a bunch...

The MagnaGuard took the longest out of those three, as you probably figured. Probably the longest thing i've made, besides Grievous.

I worked extremely hard on it, trying to get it right, testing and editing, over and over again. I scrapped and started over many times, and eventually found the a good way to make the right effect. Trust me, it wasn't easy :p

I'm really really glad that you like it :)

Don't worry about asking too many questions, I'd be happy to answer any more that you have. And i hope you do enjoy the show.

I've had an idea for a while about making fights between people with lightsabers drawn out and more epic. Involves whether or not we can create a unit class just for jedi or not.

You mean lightsaber clashing together and jumps around each other...i guess you could make it a death animation or if you want to kick yourself hard enough to do it like a pro i guess you could try

Well, its not just a death animation. If it was, then he would get shot by a battle droid and die, and then flip around attacking an invisible Jedi...

It involves making Jedi their own class, so there is a unique weapon, and subsequently a unique string of attack animations versus Jedi.

Will Grievous Body guard have a purple glow in its weapon?

Absolutely :)

We are going for 100% movie realism, and 100% pure awesomeness.
