[Moved from my subforum]

All right, I've waded through quite a few of these types of erros before, but I just cannot figure this one out.

The game.dat error reported in the campaign is actually a problem with WotR. Has anyone had the following problem:

After a battle has ended in the War of the Ring (in victory or defeat) the game crashes before the stats/score is displayed. No matter who you play or the AI plays, it always crashes. Even if there was only 2 heroes and porters in game and you forfeit.

All other battles work all right (skirmish, mutliplayer). It's driving me nuts!!!!! :p :p Has anyone ever seen this or knows how to fix it?

Edit: Found the error, I hit the upgrade max....

Yeah, I got the error, I'm looking for a way to fix it. I'll tell you when I found out the problem.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Eh, rob? Now that you hit the upgrade max, care to tell us what the max is? ;)

I bet it's 512. About 450 EA already used up. And if you hit the max, I can't really imagine that you have used more than 100 new upgrades, hehe. :D

Actually, EA used up about 900+ (make sure to count the CaH that takes up >50% of them). The upgrade max is somewhere between 1000 and 1150, closer to 1100 (1064 might make sense for binary). All I know is I overshot it quite a bit at 1149, and after scaling back about 100 by changing the unique hero upgrades to generic it seems to work just fine.

As CaH are the last upgrades to load, you'll notice problems around that area. What I decided to do is load the CaH upgrades first and a couple of specific ones last that way I will be able to know exactly when I hit the limit.

And yes, using generic upgrades I still hit 100+. My inn system and 3 new factions burned through them really quick. I used new upgrades for the new buildings/fortress and technology. I always get wierd results when I use an old player technology for a new faction. (Especially with the inn system the way I have it set up, so I had to create new upgrades.)

Hello, I'm a newbie of this forum.

first, congratulations for your mod, Arnor is cool!

I've had a similar problem playing WOTR with the Arnor faction only. Sometimes, at the start of a game turn on the strategic map, the game crashes when I left click over one of the hero armies on Arnor (the faction I'm playing). After the game crashes, on the desktop appears a game.dat error warning. This issue hasn't happened when I've played other factions, like mordor or the dwarves.

I'm not sure if this is the same problem addressed in this topic anyway.
