One of the things that has always annoyed me about EaW is the shot graphics- they're pretty horrible. A while back, there was an Improved Laser Graphics mod, although the site I found it on is down (you may know it) for base EaW. I think somebody is doing one for FoC, but I have to ask-
Is there any chance you could do it yourself or look into combining such a mod with this to improve the laser graphics?

I don't mind the explosions, I meant the actual BOLTS. They're short and fat and 'orrible.
The site I found the mod on was called Petroden, the mod itself was called the "Enhanced Lasers Shot Graphics Mod" made by somebody calling themselves "Adonnay".
Made the shots much longer, thinner and faster moving- which I can tell you, really helps. Put a spanner in the works of being able to take out capital ships with a single well-flown fighter squadron.
I mean, bombers I can see but honestly, I took out Home One with Boba Fett once, and it certainly wasn't a fluke.
It created problems with the fighters though- The mod didn't make seperate bolt-graphics for normal and fighter-mounted lasers, so you ended up with TIE's firing shots longer than they were.

A laser, yes. A laser cannon, no. Why? Because "laser cannons," along with "turbolaser cannons" and most "laser" weapons, are not actually lasers (amplified light); they're plasma (excited gas). Of course, there are a handful of exceptions, such as the laser rifle that Myn Donos uses, that actually do use laser technology, but most of them do not, despite using the term. Even though is it technically incorrect, "laser" seems to have become somewhat of a vernacularism for large blaster weapons, which your standard laser cannons actually are.

That thing looks funny. And worse... see quantum-crystalline armor.
But in my opinion, the Sun Crusher wouldn't need any weapons at all, it could just ram all enemy ships in sight... rofl

Of course, if you add the Sun Crusher (only buildable at the Maw, perhaps? Would stop the Maw from being completely useless like it is now. You could have an incredibly slow build process, so it take an hour of gameplay to produce or something.) you'll need to add Qwi Xux, Bevel Lemelisk and Kyp Durron! How many heros can the game handle?

Yeah, I think EaW would have problems with the Sun Crusher. For one, it couldn't ram anything, so you would basically just have a really indestructable starfighter that could wipe out planets. As far as destroying it, it would probably just have a 100,000 RU hull or something. It could be done though. I guess I could always just have the resonance torpedoes blow up the ships instead of physically ramming them. Now if only I had a model of it .
Rob, as far as I know, there is no limit to the amount of heroes that EaW can handle.
