Merging of our time and Red Alert 2 time? *Shudders*

Allies with Prism, Mirage, WCD's & Chrono
Soviet with Tesla, Nuclear & Iron Curtain
Nazi with UFO's, cyborgs & whatever

Would be a very bad game. Very bad.

YR and RA2 were already pretty damn bad... well not so much RA2. At least that was remotely feasible.

Actually I think the conversation was something like this:

"What should the Soviet have to take out buildings?"
"Scud Missile Launcher of course."
"Don't you think that's too advanced?"
"True. What about the V2? On a truck?"
"German isn't it?"
"Just include it and say the Russian captured van Braun or something."
"Could work..."

The EA quote is erroneous.

It would involve something like:

We don't have to make this game actually be any good! We just have to slap the Command & Conquer logo on it and hire a couple of celebs as actors. Of course, we're obviously not going to support the community anyway. MONEY MONEY MONEY THAT IS ALL WE WANT!

Secondly, how did you find out about this "Philadelphia Experiment" and where can I find out more?

Wikipedia! Where I found out? I don't remember where I found out though, I think I found it in bits and pieces.

Is there any historical basis for the prism weapons or was that simply a balance to the tesla weapons?

AFAIK, ballance only, same with Mirage.

Prism tech is actually similar to a laser the U.S. army was working on and have a prototype attatched to a jeep currently. It's basically a really primitive laser. The theory is if you can use mirrors and light well enough, you can make a nasty laser.

Not powerful enough. I think you need the sunlight covering half a football stadium in order to vaporize a human. And what about cloudy nights?

Besides Forsaken One, while Prism Tech is similar to a laser, it is not as cool as Philadelphia because:
a) It is not based on research by one of the most famous men in the world
b) It does not involve a conspiracy theory
c) It is proven to work
d) It can do things not possible in the real world

lol, not part of a conspiracy. Got me there. Though, I am one to partially believe the Philadelphia experiment actually happened (maybe in part because I want to see a huge jump in technology to C&C tech >_>). About the sunlight thing: it's prolly the reason it's not currently in mass. Still a work in progress.
