Anyways, this is supposed to be where new players can ask questions about playing as the elves (or anyone really, I suppose), so they can become more competive online. And some of the better players can share their strats if they so desire. And......some other stuff.....
adummy, if you feel this is not appropiate, feel free to lock it...... Though you could really help some people with Rohan....
And of course this might help the next TEA tourment be even bigger

and a few battalions of Riders of rivendell.
it might be a good strategy
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

Another thing to keep in mind, is to never throw both infantry and cavalry into combat simultaneously. If you've got less cavalry, flank 'em while your infantry fights a delaying action. If you've got more cavalry, use infantry to hold your settlements and mop up any survivors while the cavalry wtfpwn the enemy army.
But, this is all theory, of course

And spamming mirkwoods is a very good idea early game, except agaisnt isen and rohan and gondor (and Elves I suppose) if they get cav ASAP, in which case you should get Spearmen ASAP (or you're superior cav )

The most important thing to remember is to NOT let the elves get into mid-late game, because they will crush you then.
If I play Elves and you play Isengard, I will first be very nervous, then build one Orchard and one Lookout Tower, and send my Scouts to creep some lair for cash, then create 2 more Scouts. If I get that far, I'll set up an ambush around the path to my base, and continue building Scouts and Orchards, then upgrade them with fire arrows, keep ambushing anything coming to my base and then build either Glorfindel or Galadriel, depending on how well I got to creep.

build mirkwood scouts and Spearman of the Havens and two or three Amroth's knights
if the spearman can hold the uruk-hai or other enemies the Mirkwood scouts don't need armor (which they lack)
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

they aren't expensive i believe.
and use those super scout units... (1 in a battalion) to check the enemies movements. you can have like three of them watching there base the entire battle without them even noticing them
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

On a more serious note, I'd try to build a Flet or two, put the archers in the 'ambush' position, and put them on the gate while constructing an Orchard.
Another strategy would be to creep as fast as possible, get the 'Gifts of the Sea' power, and get Cirdan to hold off the Uruks.
While he's basically commiting suicide, come back to the base with experienced archers, and blamo!
Otherwise, I'm out of ideas O_O
Cheers, and here's to hoping I won't face Matias,
