   My friend, you have a real gift! I just love your attention to detail.
This is just awesome! :xcahik_: :p ;)

@King Arvedui: This is a work in progress. Some body parts are just not finished. If you had read the rest of the thread, you would have discovered a presentation of the previous stage of development (just the head)!

wonderfull piece of work as allways :xcahik_: through i have two things to point out. first one is that in movies the armor looks less shiny., in fact it was pretty dull. second one is a bit classic problem with your models. the helmet is taller then it should be :p

The helmet is too tall, isn't it? (EDIT: not the only one to think that ;))

Like I said you on msn, the thing around is neck, is so wonderfull, all this gilded part, hard to believe that it's handdrawn

About the shiny problem, I agree, but I know that you will do that later.
Then maybe a little thing, for his arms, and shoulders protections, isn't the grey part is too grey? (Maybe that another view angle will help me to see that).

Keep it up, forget the others projects

When will we see some Ents?

Well... (£$**¤§!#£#$¤)... finally I won't comment that.

You know, that's rather strange... I modeled the dimensions off the sideshow WETA replica helm, of which there is a nice direct side view, so it shouldn't be disproportionate. Maybe I made a mess when I rescaled it to the CaH head, I'll take a look at it

Are you planning to implicate your old gondor/arnor models into this project? Also how many polys does this guard have?

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Around 4000 I believe, with the legs as yet unfinished. I also think that I can do better with my Gondor models, so they'll be revised (the Arnor one is too high poly however).

I know what class i'm going to be using...(royal guard, no doubt :good: )

Going to try my hand at one of these. What is the poly limit for the body? (not including weapons)

We'll say 2000 tris, that seems good. The royal guard is 600 at the moment, but it's not a very detailed mesh.

Just so you know, we have other projects to tend to, apart from non-modding matters. But as already mentioned, it's coming along. Slowly. :p

I was away for 2 weeks... not that I'll really be working too much on this but you can check out one of the models in the Showcase forums if you haven't already.
