Just a suggestion regarding the elves! How about making the noldor elves a summon instead of a buildable unit? I just find them too similar to galadhrim, and having multiple units of similar characteristics just seems to muddy the unit list. Also, like the idea of being able to summon some super-elite elves if im getting a pasting!

Good idea... gameplay-wise it would be better, and also feeling-wise I'd prefer soldiers that last fought a battle threethousand years ago to be a summon :p (maybe together with Gil-Galad)

Build me an army worthy of Mordor!

Summoned Units=Trash. Keep em late game units. Having them as a summon would be garbage.

not to be too blunt, though.

Don't worry GN, the team has already decided on keeping the summon things very low. Recruiting/training units is much more "realistic"... =p

Huzzah! Sounds good. Some of the summoned allies will be cool (with the dragonstrike mechanism), but it's cool thatcha cut it down to a minimum. Sounds good.

Yeah and also (even though slightly OffT):
I'd like to make as many summons as possible enter the same way Smaug does - from outside the map. This meaning that if you summon Knighs of Dol Amroth (old Rohirrim summon) for instance, they would ride in from outside the map directly towards your location, instead of popping up through smoke. I beleive this could be done...
*OffT end*

Dear god the Hobbits need new voices. They sound like Americans. If you can't find someone with a West Country (that's an English farmer accent, like Sam's accent) then I'll do it (I used to live in rural Suffolk)

In fact, if you need any English accents, then I can have a go. My microphone isn't that great, mind. You might have to clean up the sounds a bit

They sound like Americans.

almost every single character in this game is sounded by an American because this game was made by Americans

as for their actual voices: there are more important things to be fixed first imo.

If you need them, i could also do some sound samples. i don't have an english tongue, but my swiss/german dialect could surely work for some units :)

About Hobbit voices and other voices...

- First we need to finish a LOT of other things before we start messing with details like voices.
- Secondly we should concentrate on MISSING voices before we do NEW voices :)
- Thirdly I never thought of them having unfitting voices, but maybe that's cause I speak and read in american accent too.

Adding voices is also kinda booring, so we should defenitely do other things first, but thanks for the offers =)

You can't tell the difference between the real hobbits (i.e. Sam, Merry, Pippin) and the recruitable ones? Well, trust me, the voices don't fit at all. They just sound like American tourists that somehow got lost in Middle-Earth.

know whats funny about that? EVERYONE except Gandalf and Saurman are voiced by actors/employees EA hired. Even the heroes are not voiced by their actor counter-parts. They just got better actors to mimic Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd voice's.

Really? I thought they had hired almost every actor to do their voice for TBFME I... Except Eomer and Eowyn or something.
