Must... resist... urge... to... shout... RTFM!...

It's the menu on the right, and the create tab is the one with the little arrow above something that looks like a little star. If you point your cursor at it, you should see that it's called "create".

I have also been trying my luck with learning this bit by bit. I have gotten to the point where i add the bones. After i select them and they get added on the right-side list for the wwskin they disappear right after i place it somewhere near the mesh, so that when i try to link the vertices to the bones, the list of which to choose a bone to link it to is just empty.

Is there something i missed along the way? Do i need to press some 'save' button so that the list of bones is retained?

Thanks a lot already for the link to the excellent tutorial. :xcahik_:

You pressed ok when you put the bones in the list right or did you not highlight all the bones that you select from the list

Of course i pressed ok after the selection. All the bones were initially listed on the right-side under the wwskin skeleton section. But they disappeared as soon as i placed the wwskin and tried to connect the warp.

During my last attempts i also got the error message: 'Cannot bind. Would create dependency loop.'

Edit: While using W3D viewer to check on the textures and animations in detail, i found to my astonishment that i seem unable to view the animations, even though the timer in the status line is running normally. I am wondering what could be the issue with that as well. :(

Ah you are try to cennect to a bone you need to connect to a part of a model that doesn't have a bone under it and also make sure you don't have the model in the wwskin list

Allright, so now i selected all bones except for the wwskin (WWSkin01), the BOUNDINGBOX and the mesh (in my case WITCHKING2).

The list stays, yay!

But the error message still appears. :(

Allright. I redid it from scratch and am now progressing! :xcahik_:
Thank you.

Edit: *checking my viewer version* ;)

Allright, i just updated to the W3Dviewer EA provided in the SDK.
Starting it, he tells me i am missing 'MFC71.DLL'.
Does anyone have that library and could attach it in a post? :xcahik_:
I also don't know exactly where i would have to put it. ;)

In case you need it too, here it is:

Attached File  mfc71.zip   503.01KB   25 downloads

Just put it in the same folder as the w3dviewer.exe.

Press Print Screen, then open up an image editing program and press Ctrl+C. Or you can get a screenshot program like Fraps for example, so you can do multiple screenshots without switching.

I still cant bind, but if you get that dependancy loop error, all you have to do is clone your model, delete the old one and give the new one the same name as the old one. Fixes it I believe.
