Battery Problem

Hello, I have a Sony Vaio AR series. and the battery wont show up even if i have it in. And if i remove the charger it shuts off. What do i do? Ps: Its still under warranty.

Cant..battery is not covered by the warranty. and i have had the comp for about 5-6 months.

Looks like yer on the lookout for a new battery then...although I'm surprised it isn't covered by warranty...

I cant take it back becausye they dont carry this model anymore. And a refund for a battery..that sounds alittle cheap to me.

That's what being a consumer's all about, dude.

Even if you feel cheap and stingy and tight-fisted, money is better in your pocket than in theirs.

I'm more than willing to ask for refunds on faulty lightbulbs. A faulty battery should be no problem! :lol:

Its unlikely that Sony would of sent out a crappy battery, usually most battery problems are caused by the user incorrectly charging it or leaving the battery in all the time causing it to chemically degrade.

This is a little off topic, but I think it still applies. My next door neighbor returned a lawnmower he had had and used for over a year. He got a full refund for it too. I have no idea how he managed that one, but the moral of the story is, everything can be returned, so bring your laptop back.

They said they will send me a free new battery. and all i had to do is waste 2 hours on the phone with some person that spoke very bad english and tryed to get me to reformat windows.

Usually that happens on phones, tho. I wish they'd actually use people who spoke the language of the nation that is supposed to be calling the number.

Hey i understand that, i just dont like it when they tell you to do something useless that has no effect on the problem.


Ex. Me: I have a battery problem

Him: Go to Esupport.sony.com enter your model number, go to original and download every driver.
