Here you can post (as an attached zip file) the Replays of your favorite matches.

To do this in multiplayer, you will have the option of saving your replay. It will be saved in the same folder (subfolder 'replays') where you put the file SEE.big.

To save a skirmish game, read this:

Simply make all future skirmishes in multiplayer (network) mode. Just make yourself player 1 and all other positions with AI. Then you can always save a replay. The only difference to standard skirmish is that you cannot pause the game. :)

It would be best, if any posted replay stick to a format. Here is a sample:

Replay Name: The Best Game Ever (Mordor pwns Elves)

  • Game and Version: S.E.E. Beta 4.5
  • Map: Mount Doom
  • Team 1: Mordor (Sûl), Moria (AI)
  • Team 2: Elves (AI), Elves (AI)
  • Team (x): 'additional team's info'
  • Length:
Description: I tried this starting approach. First blahblahblah, etc. After about 12 minutes, awesomeness strikes when blahblahblah. (You catch my drift? :sad2: )
Attachment:

Have fun recording your stuff!

Once you have saved the first replay it will be there. If not in the spot i described, simply search your harddrive for 'replay'.

First one! :)

Game: S.E.E Beta IV
Map: Weather Hills
Team 1: Men (LOTRJ), Elves (hard AI), Dwarves (hard AI)
Team 2: Isengard (brutal AI), Mordor (brutal AI)
Length: 3.5 hrs.

Dwarves got taken out pretty early on, so it's basically 2 on 2 against brutal AI. Any critiques on my strategy are welcome!

[Edit] What the heck?! Certain things during the replay towards the end DEFINATELY didn't go as they really happened. (I.E. My army didn't totally finish off Isengard, and at one point Gandalf's word of power killed 5 pp worth of enemies when I distinctly remember while playing it was 7. Just how accurate are these things supposed to be?

Would it be possible to add fastforward and rewind capability to replays in SEE?

um replays don't change stuff around, don't know what to tell you. i use replays for the real game to learn stuff by watching good players, so im not sure if a mod replay would be different...

Everything seemed to go like it really happened until Mordor built their second Grond and tried to send it to my base. Everything after that was slightly off. I'd watch that part again, but there is no way to fast-forward, and I don't feel like watching it for 3.5 hours today...

Even a slight computer miscalculation would have a snowball effect. I think EA never intended games to be 3.5 hours long. If it worked that long, i guess we can rest assured that shorter games won't have any replay problems. :)

Yeah, that makes sense. I've been overclocking my PC too, and I'm at the 'back-speed-down-until-your-system-becomes-stable' point, so that may have contributed to miscalculations. Anyway, I'd still appreciate any critiques of my strategy method up to the point where Mordor has re-built Grond and the ent is destroying the Isengard wall.

I have to admit, watching 3 hours worth of a game is not very appealing to me. Besides, the AI has not yet been tuned up in beta 4. So strategy is not really needed to beat even the brutal AI. I assure you, that will change with 4.5 and make skirmishes much more challenging. :)

Yipes! Looking forward to it. I think... Totally understandable that you don't wanna watch the replay, I don't even wanna watch it again. That's why I suggested fast-forward and rewind controls, to get to the good parts.

Summary: Dwarves get beaten and I come through with my base hanging on by a thread in the first half hour (that part may be worth watching, then quit.) After that, build up base, minor skirmishes, Smaug almost kills upgraded fortress, built lots of fortresses for CP (100x mode) and get powers, pwn enemy.

I'm very interested to see how other people play, though. (I obviously take way too long...) :) I should play with 1x CP more to learn how to beat the enemy with less troops...

siege lol... its seriously all you need :) I played shire 3 times running recently after never having played it, always seemed too small but its fun ;)

Yea to take out a base, I've got into the habbit of sending weaker units in first (not so much of a loss) like uruk scouts, hobbits, peasants, pooey orcs and such, followed by siege + heroes, shortly followed by the main army.

The number of siege units I build are between 8-15, less when Im happy to let it drag on ;)

To fast forward a replay, press [Ctrl] and [/] :)
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Maybe you should mention the kind of keyboard you are using.

Okay, here's a more sane skirmish. :p First time in 1x CP mode, so I played Mordor. I went out of my comfort zone and tried something different from building up a massive army for hours and wiping out the enemy in minutes... ;)

Game: S.E.E Beta IV
Map: Shire
Team 1: Mordor (LOTRJ)
Team 2: Men (hard AI)
Length: 50 minutes
CP multiplier:1x

The Lorien map one is pretty good, but I would have saved up resources and gotten my eagle to protect from those nazzies right away. Haven't watched the Gobbo one yet.
