The competition idea with prizes etc is also good but its just a matter of getting it starting and free-flowing. Might i suggest with the more simple competitions that you don't have cash prizes, offer advertising or something like that and save the money for the bigger events. Also Sponsorships from companies and other sites may help with things too
As for competition ideas... you could include... photography?

I made the site basic on purpose, so that there could be a competition to re-design itThe site is a bit plane looking but its still in its early stages i'm assuming
There will be some key ads and some sponsorships later on, when things are moving. Also Sponsorships from companies and other sites may help with things too

Something i noticed is i'm not sure what to write about the competitions, 'a photo of a colourful sunset' says enough for me, but others might need more info. I suppose it's up to the first entry to be the example for people to follow ._.
Someone organise an event with a deadline at Revora - sounds impossible.why don't we do some cool graphics competitions here, but more for like bragging rights and mousepads?
What sort of graphics had you in mind?

There's me signed up with my first entry. My forest is complete and uploading as we speak.
Your turn Xeno
did the site give you any errors when you uploaded your entry?
You're not supposed to be able to upload .bmp files
I'm now going on a code mission to find out how this happened...

Found another bug
When I go to vote for the sunset pic, it decides I'm not logged in, regardless of what I do
I gave it a go and i'm not getting the same result. So i need some info:
What browser are you using?
Do you have any extensions that might mess with sites (like i use a javascript blocker)?
What does the page say after you click the pink vote button? (does it ask you to become a member?)
