I've been putting off doing anything for a while because I've got mostly boring tedious jobs left.
Figured the sooner I start the sooner I'm finished so I've started working out damage frames.
Ore Refinery damage test:
(I know the base and the main building needs some damage/scorching - I'm just testing at the moment)
Booleaning, moving stuff around and a couple of planes with scorch effects on them ends up like that.
I'm having trouble getting any decent scorch textures though, Google image search failed miserably, I don't have Generals anymore to rip them from that and the RA2 ones are too small so any suggestions in that department would be nice.

I use boolean and photo shop to achieve nice damage frames. 2-4 layers with some smudged grey colour works fine. First layer I use multiply with opacity setting 35%-50%. Second layer 50%-75% and colour burn in the blending mode setting.
It is far easier to achieve nice burn marks this way than relying on 3d studio max.
Attached the psd, incase that would help.

Fancy doing that for another 140 or so .shps?
That helps alot, cheers Gamemate.
Was trying to avoid 2d editing, but it looks miles easier that way anyway.

There's exactly 140 building .shps in my .shp folder (civvy, Allied, Soviet and animations), but some of them are blank (where a building is purely a bib for example).
I was joking though, it's more admin to sort out stuff getting done with someone else than it would be work to do it myself
If you could do a few scorches for different angles (flat top, front left walls amd front right walls) that'd be really useful.
