The guys over IGN could play the Masari faction from Universe At War: Earth Assault recently and they wrote a nice article about it. Here's a snippet:


For most players, the Masari are going to be the most familiar. Their base building, unit production, and movement mechanics are about as typical as you'll find in Universe at War. Select some architects (the Masari builder), choose a building, and place it down on the field. If it's a unit production building, click on the building and choose the unit to build. You won't have to worry about your bases walking around or units having to flow back and forth across a power grid. For all intents and purposes, the Masari are a great starter race for RTS players used to typical mechanics.
