Dear Phoenix,
Is there a balance issue with getting ALL heroes at tech 1.
I have been playing the rebellion and the empire does not stand a chance....

All I do is hit imperial worlds with Garm + Airspeeder + hero and the imps dont stand a chance as they don't have AT-AT's yet.

Similarly, I thought Airspeeders were only tech 4. At tech 1, the imps cant deal with them (unless the AI gets smart and starts building AK-AK guns - which they don't)


Could you adjust so you get heroes as you tech up (as per original game), simply for the fact that many of them are redundant at lower tech levels, because you havn't designed the ships yet. For example, Piett isn't any good until you get ISD's at tech 4.

It also seems odd to have one planet, only and all the possible heroes in the game.

It would be fun if you only got the hero when you liberated their home planet for the first time. This would also make sense as the hero joins your faction once their planet is saved.

There's a news post on buildable heroes, reading the post and all of the comments should answer most of your questions on heroes.
