Would someone mind telling me about the different gondor units stats, etc or maybe show me some screenshots (my browser doesn't work for the new website)

also, i'm interested in what exactly a captain of gondor does.... leadership?

finally, (sorry for so many questions) how does denethor defend himself? I mean, from reading the forums, it seems like he just stands around and doesn't do much

thanks! :grin:

by the way, it's an awesome mod without seeing the screenshots!
:) :) :)

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king.

And as if in answer there came from far away another note.
Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed.
Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last!

BFME+ is back in action!

The Captain of Gondor has the same function as the Mirkwood/Rivendell captain unit in that you can attach it to most - I'm fairly certain not all - infantry units to increase their stats.

Yes, Denethor is accompanied by a group of Citadel Guards. His purpose isn't that of a frontline fighter, he should remain in the back of your army, well protected by your other heroes and units.

Denethor did have a ceremonial sword with him, if I remember, and I'm sure he would have known how to use it...

according to the book, denethor had a sword with him, but I don't think he used it. He said something about wearing it, so he didn't become to weak and that he was still able to use his sword.

As far as i know, Denethor was a great fighter during his younger days and probably in his older ones as well.
but he didn't fight in the war of the ring. And that's the point. :)

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Our Denethor is not a fighter. He's more of a buffing hero who you'll probably keep at the far back of your army. But there is no reason he couldn't have come to a battlefield, even afterwards to congratulate troops.

As he has no real way of leveling up, he starts at level 10. Don't worry.. his powers aren't going to utterly destroy you ^_^
